There's no canopy - it's just a model for painting.

SWS has updated all of their RVs now!

The RV8 already had it but now both the 10 and 14 have the new G3X paired with either PMS or TDS GTN.

I only bought the RV-8 a little while ago but I've fallen in love with it! A friend and I do formation aerobatics and I've painted Redline Airshows planes....BUT two very disappointing aspects have arisen. One, the most important, you can't see each others smoke and Two. you don't see a pilot in your partners aircraft. It takes the edge off.

Being on the fence for the RV-8 I'm wondering how the GTN units are implemented. The product page states "PMS GTN and TDS GTNXi* compatibility, with hot-swapping supported in the analogue variant". Does the glass cockpit also offer a pairing of the G3X with a GTN?

I believe all pairings are supported, but for the G3X/TDS panel you would need the GTN Pro version..  Personally, I love the analog gauges coupled with the TDS GTN, and I am still running the basic TDS unit..  Lovely airplane!

Hi all, I just got MSFS 2024 and would like to purchase the Vans RV-8 module.  I've heard good things about it.  Has the NO SOUND issue been fixed or is there a workaround?  Are there any other issues for FS 2024?

I own my own RV-8 and am very interested in how the RV-8 module flies in the sim.
