May 7, 20242 yr A patch came out a few hours ago that’s meant to improve TOD calculations, I haven’t tested it yet
May 7, 20242 yr My question is how are you guys managing the window? I find it cumbersome and in the way. If you minimize it you have to hit the windows key to get to your app tray. and.... because it's a program running outside of msfs I find it's easy to accidently close it. Do you guys use a hot key? As I'm getting more used to it I find I dont need the window at all, but I still need it ocasionally and I still find the window cumbersome. For instance GSX has a menu within MSFS, to me Beyond ATC is like if I had to go out of MSFS and get GSX from the app tray/systray to get the controller window to pop back up. I really hope they figure out how to make it run seemlessly within MSFS like default ATC or GSX. How do you configure your window? Maybe there is a solution I haven't thought of. May 7, 20242 yr I have not yet purchased BeyondATC so thanks for the initial review! I had actually just gotten SayIntentionsAI several days ago before this released and decided to try it out for a month (I have not used ATC in a sim since Radar Contact way back in early 2000's and I don't use vatsim). After using SI on a few flights and watching some videos and reading about BATC, I get the feeling that we are still stuck with the same structural ATC sim issues from the long ago past. Aside from better voices (still don't understand the AI hype surrounding these or anything else for that matter but that's another story), I am not getting the feeling so far that much has really been improved but maybe I am missing something. The basics of ATC are just not all that great from what I have experienced/seen so far. Not able to read airport taxiways, not knowing altitude/speed restrictions, strange climb/descent instructions, not descending at the correct time, bizarre vector behavior, etc, etc....I mean these are core parts of what ATC should do. I will need more time with SI and may in fact get BATC in the near future once some more of these issues are ironed out if they can even be fixed.
