May 27, 20242 yr This was an April 1st freebie from SoFly, but I see it is actually for sale on their website now. Beautifully done, and the beasties are incredibly well animated, plus they roar, grunt and suchlike wonderfully. No idea if the sounds are realistic - I'm not that old. I never cease to be amazed by what can be done here in MSFS. I'm just waiting now for the X-rated Stones '72 trip in their own jet. Or maybe the Zep one. Be nice to get a "picture not allowed" mark. Thought I'd do this in the Ka-10m rather than on ground transport. Better views. So here we are, waiting for the off at the rather splendid base camp "here steggy! Nice steggy!" Looking out from the Park across the rest of the island Well, it is a flight sim, after all Love the road signs throughout And they're not wrong! Down here in Torquay there are signs everywhere about not leaving food out for the seagulls. Could be an even bigger problem here! heading round to take a look at some critters that seem to be outside the park boundaries, as well as some marine life I didn't find the marine stuff so convincing, but I guess if they were placed more realistically you'd never see them Looking at those houses and thinking you'd certainly be hoping the fences were well maintained Nice properties . . . but just the other side of those trees . . . I guess these are Velociraptors. I wonder what looking at these VRs in VR would feel like <grin> Coming back in to base camp at the end of my trip Time to sit down with a cuppa and a bicky. Maybe something cute will come along to scrounge for crumbs. Or limbs. The blurb for the package on the website talks about the dinos being set for a whole series of world wide locations, where they would have been originally. Not sure if that's just in the paid for package but I've posted a question on their site about that. Be fun to see some of these roaming around in wide open spaces. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

May 27, 20242 yr Man, you didn't even use VNAV - totally UNserious flying. Simply can't have unprofessional airmanship like that on these forums! ( love your post 🙂 )

I know this sort of thing is not to everyone's taste, and that's absolutely fine. You're not wrong about them being a bit dark, but that was kinda deliberate as I was going for that misty murky look. Plus it tends not to be so dark on my HDR screen but loses a bit of clarity here. 20 hours ago, UrgentSiesta said: Man, you didn't even use VNAV - totally UNserious flying. (cheers, and thanks) 12 hours ago, Dillon said: So there's not Jurassic Park island. These shots are from places like Costa Rica, Columbia, etc? Hi Dillon, according to SoFly this is all set in the location where the movie was shot, which apparently was (and I hope this is spelled correctly) the Ahupua'a O Kahana State park on O'ahu in Hawaii, so that's the background scenery here too. 12 hours ago, ryanbatc said: Clever girl... May 31, 20242 yr Fantastic story telling and great shots. Ok, a bit dark, but that helped to enhance them 🙂 On 5/28/2024 at 3:32 PM, andy1252 said: Fancy doing some repaints for the 'raptors? June 1, 20242 yr Had a blast with the pictures...🙂...the ambience looks so remarkably dark, moody, mysterious, and of course...probably lethal... (in other words, an exciting place for a virtual vacation in MSFS...🙂...) ... Thanks for sharing...!
