Simmer Life APP... Supermarket mode....

Featured Replies

One of the reasons I seldom engage in long distance flights in any airline simulation is that usually mid flight I am called to go to the shopping, supermarket, ...

It would be great to have APPs that could allow me to control some of the aircraft (MCP / FMC) remotely, as well as answer to whatever ATC I am using (FSHUD and BATC are the ones I use these days with MSFS)....

That would save me trashing my flights quite so often 😞

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Is Remote Control via TeamViewer or something similar an option for you?

This should not be a problem during cruise. Nothing to do anyway. And for the ATC, just quit BATC and resume when you're back. Works just as fine.

Or do you think of landing your aircraft while in the supermarket?

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

No, of course not for the phases of initial climb / SID  and STAR / APP, but rather for long flights during cruise, as we get handed over to different control centers and sometimes being given step climbs, or descents...

I would love to be able to do t from my ANDROID Smartphone, a very basic Xiaomi Redmi 12....

Some kind of possibility to set MCP / FCU and FMC / MCDU for basic stuff, and for applications like FSHUD and BATC, or other, to send notifications and allow for interactions.

My advice is to get a bigger refrigerator and stop answering the phone when flying!

Ditch the wife and stay at home eating left over pizza and garlic bread to get through those 14 hour flights in the 777. That's real simming.
