FYI, thats a scenery order issue, you need to follow the installation instructions, any x-world scenery on an airport gets removed by the airport exclusion zone, but that zone needs to be in the right place in the custom_scenery.ini file, or xplane thinks it is stuff you want to add to the airport.

Thats what I also thought at the beginning, so I did at lot of "shifting" the scenery order, also in a way that was not regarded as correct. It did not help.

Only at DGSI but at no other African airport that I knew in rl I noticed such an error.

its simply not possible for x-world to add anything inside an airport exclusion zone, so if it did either x-world had a higher priority to place scenery than the airport, or there was something wrong with the airport exclusion zone and it needed reporting/editing on the gateway (unlikely but possible)

n.b. reload scenery isnt enough, you have to restart xplane if you change the scenery ini, reload scenery is just for making changes to already loaded scenery packs using e.g. WED, the scenery ini is read once at xp start.

Yes I know that just reloading scenery is not enough. Therefore I always restarted XP12 when testing a different scenery order.

The result is always the same. I even deleted scenery_pack.ini and started XP12 to create a fresh copy. The result is the same, buildings on the runway and apron.

Even addons like LSZH, EGLL or EDDB are working correctly - only DGSI is giving problems which are not existing if simHeaven_X-World_Africa is not installed. Any suggestion what else I could try?

Sorry, I tried that too and it did not work. Tested it again right now in case I made a stupid mistake - with the same result.

which airport? maybe it does need fixing on the gateway

I have installed simHeaven X-World, too. So I have checked the DGSI airport, and I have got the same problem - building on the runway.

So, this is because DGSI was last updated in 2015

https://gateway.x-plane.com/airports/DGSI/show

and has no airport boundary defined.

The fix is to import it with WED, (file, import from airport scenery gateway)

at least define the airport boundary (green fence to the left of the ATC icon),

add the buildings, then submit the changes to the gateway

EDIT: There is something weird there, probably best to ask on the LR discord

I now tried DGSI on my desktop at my 2nd home where I am presently am. There everything was fine until I noticed that I forgot to add the "simHeaven_X-World_Vegetation_Library/  ".

So I was happy to find the culprit. To confirm this I added this library, restarted XP12 and to my surprise, the DGSI scenery was still fine and all was well. Apparently I was wrong and it had nothing to do with the buildings on the runway and apron.

Looking at the file "scenery_packs.ini" I noticed that the entry for this vegetation library was added by XP12 as the first line. But even when placing it below the Simheaven entries it did not change the good behavior  of this scenery.

All this baffles me, why should it work on a quite old PC with an Intel CPU and not an a newer one with an AMD CPU? I will compare and play with two scenery_packs.ini file when I am back at my 1st home.

Since I am not able to get WED working on my Linux systems I can not presently use this programme.

WED should work on Linux with the correct dependencies. To find out what you are missing, run the "ldd WED" command in a terminal fromm the same folder as the WED binary is in.
