I am puzzled, please help.

When ever I start FS2020 in the opening screen I get an Update for scenery of the United Kingdom and Ireland? I have checked in the Contents Manager and the scenery already appears in there as installed and Up To Date.

Is this showing because I am missing this update or is it just advertising Logo ?

 

please guide me.

You need to go to the store and purchase WU17.  It's a free update.

I'n guessing what you are seeing in the content manager is WU3.

In my content manager I already have WU17 ( shows as nstalled).

Could it be that you have uninstalled a component of the WU to install an addon airport?  I uninstalled Asobo's Lands End as I prefer Superspud's version (for example).

I believe I did...Not sure though by now as I thought that I had double copies of the update and wasn't careful to check the number of the update;

Update lll and XVll show as installed

No I have not uninstalled anything, just the thought of reinstalling the sim a-new is enough to keep me awake, Just think is odd that both updates show in Market Place as installed and updated.

Before reinstalling MSFS, I would try uninstalling the updates and reinstalling them.

Thanks for your support and advice, I am not very computer savi. at the moment I have a very bad internet connection, everything freezes and it's difficult to fly. before attempting your suggestion Bobsk8,I'll wait nd see if thiis gets better.

Is it an update pop-up that appears or is it just the screenshots from the update as the sim loads?

I have also installed the update and when my sim loads up initially I see screenshots from this new update. 

I don't think it necessarily means there's a problem - it's just the loading screenshots being used as advertising.  Cheers,

Seabass, I think you nailed it. Most likely he is seeing a couple of screenshots from the latest update in the opening screen. If it shows as installed in Content Manager, that's all one needs to know. As for reinstalling l the sim itself: no need for this. This action should always be a last resort, and in any case it seldom solves any problems.

Seabass and cobalt: What a reliefe! Apparently for no reason, known to me, the screenshot of the updatee only shows now...For a few seconds 2-3 and the sim continues loading 😁.

I wonder if we are going to see screenshots, like this, from other updates?

Yes, I would expect so... this has been the standard practice after a World Update 🙂 

HI Bert, thanks for your reply; I've only just started to enjoy FS2020 and it's complexities,in comparisson to the previous sims. Lots to learn.

That's what I see too so everything appears to be working as it should.

AS they bring out new World Updates, those screenshots will change.  Cheers,
