Just logged in using the new method, and it's working fine. The .Org has recently adopted this same procedure. I never "log out" and was puzzled when the message popped up instructing me to use my email addy instead of username. Of course, I could not remember my password (it's been many years since creating it!), so I had to use the reset password process.
