No I don't. That being said, in doing my research I found that part of my head tracking issue could be do to my '4060 TI 16GB' video card. Doing a Google search for this card with the tag line 'VR' I found many Quest and other headset users having the exact same issue with this video card. My new '4070 TI Super 16GB' just arrived today. I'll be testing that out later today and report back. It makes since as Crystal light requires more than the Reverb G2 plus maybe more is needed switching from Windows Mixed Reality to PimaxVR/SteamVR runtimes. I did notice with cloud build up things could slow down but it was never a show stopper. I actually had great performance from the 4060 these last few days when using the Pimax Crystal Light until the clouds built up and/or I'm flying over add-on scenery (no matter how small the density). That told me it may be the video card (plus what was already reported about the '4060 TI' online). I don't have the money right now for a 2080 much less 2090 plus do to my Alienware PC casing I need two fans instead of three. We'll see how this goes.😳 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
September 4, 20241 yr Author It was the video card all along...😕 Switching out my 4060 with a 4070 TI Super 16GB changed the game. The headset looks amazing and performs great now. Now all that's left is (counter balance head strap and face covering as default is uncomfortable): Pimax | Studioform Creative So after all this here's what's needed for a quick hassle free setup: 1. Don't use this headset on anything lower than my spec machine (still get a slight stutter when loading add-on scenery but it's like the Reverb G2 was) 2. RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB is the bare minimum graphics card for a decent experience in all scenarios 3. Follow what I posted from 'VR Flightsim Guy' for software config (it'll save you allot of time) 4. Get yourself a head strap and counter weights (take it from a fighter pilot) That's it I'm done.😕 This is one heck of an amazing headset, looks as the 2D monitor. Highly recommended!👍 Hopefully this all will save you guys time and aggravation with setup.😉 Edited September 5, 20241 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
September 7, 20241 yr Thanks Dillon, Got mine last week, followed the VRsimguy's setup video as suggested, worked fine out of the box, had to unplug and replug the USB a couple of times, to get the software to see the headset, but otherwise worked flawlessly. Have ordered a foam spacer and counter weight from studioform, although I don't find it particularly uncomfortable, just a tad nose heavy, I don't do long sessions, mostly an hour or so. Useful thread! Eugene

If you're talking about room boarder setup, you press the button on top of the Crystal to choose you your desired option. Dillon, im trying to set up my borders while sitting at my desk and have tried pushing the button by the volume button on the headset, when i do, the screen simply goes black and nothing happens.. Any ideas? Sorted! Button at the top ! I'm finding as much as you have to reset room boarders (light changing in the room, etc), it's almost best to have controllers so you don't kill that volume button at the top of the headset. In another month or so I'm ordering the controllers so I can use them instead for calibration.🍺 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
September 28, 20241 yr Author Another useful tip I found: Shut off 'Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling' in Windows I had an issue where the display would jump out of the cockpit when flying through clouds. Found this jewel on Pimax's discord now the headset is stable 98% under most conditions in MSFS (this was my last nagging issue since I got the headset).☺️ Edit: I chose the heaviest load I could come up with on the video card (heaviest cloud conditions with the most performance eating add-on scenery I could find that I'll never use otherwise) and was able to get the problem to reoccur. That's pretty good to me, I'll take it.😉 Edited September 28, 20241 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

September 29, 20241 yr Hello Dillon Yesterday pimax updated his software pimax play. Are pimax xr or quadviews necessary for a good setup of PCL? Thanks Frédéric Giraud

Thanks You can use SteamVR but PimaxXR and Quadviews are written specifically for the headset. You get better performance using Pimax's solutions. I'm actually writing all this stuff here not only to help everyone but online notes for myself.🤪 What version of Pimax Play are you on because I haven't seen any updates on my end (1.29.01.01)?
