Account locked while logging in from mobile browser

Featured Replies

I'm trying to log to Avsim forums from my phone. However, after entering my email and password, I get this error message:

"Your account has been locked. Try again in 14 minutes"

This is no matter how long has passed since my last attempt, if 14 minutes or more. Even clearing my whole Google Chrome history and cookies does not help at all. How to fix this?

Hi, Luis

Do you normally log in and out when you use your computer?

Another thought...do you use the "Remember Me" when doing the sign in on your phone?

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

Same problem here, just in my phone. No problem in my tablet or in my PC.

Same for me as well. I can log out and in on my desktop PC without any issues. Same credentials on my Android phone using Chrome browser and I just get the account locked message.

Hi Charlie, yes to both. But I gave the phone a try now, and it worked.

I am having the same problem: I can't login on my Android phone. For a few days already when I try to log in it seems to work (no error message) but I do not actually login. When I try to login again I get the error message saying 'Your account has been locked. Try again in 14 minutes'. Just now I tried it again and this time the error message didn't show up (after trying it three times) but I am still not logged in.

No one else is having this problem...? Whom should I contact if I don't get help using this forum?

I've had this problem for about a month now. Cleared cache and cookies In browsers (Opera, Chrome, Firefox and MS Edge) with no luck. Tried contacting administrators with no luck and only to find out the replies were in the spam folder (where I never looked) to find that is where the reply's were. Finally I downloaded another browser (Vilvaldi) and reset my password through Opera and tried to log in and it did not work Opera (account locked). Waited 30 minutes went to Vilvaldi with new password with my username and it worked. Do I have to uninstall my browsers and reset because I found this problem with other sites also? I really don't want to use a browser I rarely use of if at all to log into Avsim.

Wow, really, what have you do to get yourself heard on this forum...? In addition to posting here I also filled in the Contact Us form but no one seems to bother. Pity.

I had to go to cookies and delete all the avsim ones...seems to be ok now at least on chrome desktop.  Still having problems with RSS feeds getting a permission denied trying to add it though (see my other topic about RSS).

Clear your computer's cache and all cookies!

Thanks but I am having problems on my mobile phone, not my computer. 😉 And I have a 'safe browser' which clear cookies all the time. So that can't be it. Perhaps AVSIM only work with (what I would call) 'unsafe browsers' since it's change...?

So, I assume, your phone was working before the changeover to the new software?  Were you using any
kind of "Remember Me" for your sign in?
Sorry, I did mean phone and not computer.

Yes, it was working before! And I don't use remember me because I log in each and every time.

BUT... the problem is solved! Deleting the cache and cookies did't do it but deleting ALL data for my browser (hence losing all settings, bookmarks, etc.) finally did the trick. A bit cumbersome all in all but at least it works now.

Thanks for putting me into the right direction! 😉
