Flight1.com support. Where is it?

Recommended Posts

I purchased Flight Environment X from flight 1, installed it as per the instructions, but I still have the default textures after loading a flight. I posted my problem on the FEX forum and no one from the FEX team has helped after 2 days of wait. Because of this I requested a refund on a Problem Ticket 36 hours ago and have heard nothing from the Flight1 team either. Can anyone suggest how I can get a refund as this was an expensive addon. There seems to be no direct support for FEX, other than an other users forum, which I find strange. Thanks, Keith.

Does not sound right to me, Flight1, and the folks at FE, typically responds in a very timely manner, and I have found the best way to get fairly immediate service is via the various Flight1 forums.I would post an inquiry to the 'product support' forum. http://www.simforums.com/forums/default.asp

Of course, in the U.S. it's been a 3 day holiday weekend. ;)

That particular forum is for Ground Env X. I have posted my problem on the Flight Env X forum. 57 views, no help. I don't expect help from users but I do from the dev's as they have my hard earned money. I do appreciate your help though, thanks.

Hi Keith,I've bumped your message to the top. Many times those that can and do help on these forums use the RSS feed which shows the last 10 posts. If there is a really hot and active discussion happening your post can get lost in the stack and therefore unnoticed. Hopefully someone that can help you will get to you soon. I haven't had this problem but can tell you that if there are problems with the FSX registry entries or if you are running FSX when you attempt to update textures that you can have problems.

Generally speaking, Flight 1's support is second to none. And, indeed, the FEX developers provided fantastic support in the first few days of the release of FEX. However, the past few weeks, they've been noticeably absent from the forum. I've posted an error log from FEX that I'm experiencing and have not gotten any reply.I realize they are working on an update to FEX but that doesn't relieve them of the responsiblity for supporting their product.JimDell XPS 420 Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0 ghz3 gb dual channel 800 mhz DDR2 RAM512 mb nvidia 8800GT500 gb SATA drive 7200 rpmSoundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Music22" Acer widescreen LCDWindows Vista Home Premium

Keith is requesting a refund, which he is entitled to per Flight1's wrapper agreement, which is why he might be better served posting a message in the Flight1 Customer Service forum regarding his trouble ticket.

Hi,I saw your forum post was at 3:00 on Friday afternoon. We do not always do every type of tickets on weekends either.I am sorry the support did not meet your requirements, and we want to be fast, and occasionally things slip... but overall we think it is reasonable to allow weekends to be unofficial support, sometimes official, and if none of the above, it should come pretty quick once the work week starts, unless it is a holiday on Monday.
