Fenix A320 Freezes but sim still keeps running

Four flights now completed using Nvidia 556.12 without incident, including using all the triggers I could think of which would previously be associated with an issue (mainly Lossless Scaling, pop out manager, using GSync, opening apps outside sim, using display sync setting).

I just landed at EDDS and shut the engines down, aircraft has locked up and engines are still running and now showing minus values,

At least it is consistent now, this happens every flight. Running 556.12

D a m n, sorry it's so persistent for you. There are so many variables involved these days that it's the devil's own job to keep all the bits and pieces playing nicely with each other.

I was going to give up and fly something else but I am too stubborn lol, Will keep on methodically removing one piece of the puzzle at a time.

At least the issue only seems to present itself once I have got too the gate, I can at least complete the flight.

Do you have APU on during engines shutdown?

Have taken a look into the ticket - thanks for keeping it updated, last I saw 40-ish minutes ago an "attempted fix" was made, this happens when we think we can see where the issue is but are unable to replicate it. This fix will roll out as part of the next update, please report back when we release it and you've had a chance to take a look.

Yes,

I always start the APU once I vacate the runway.

Thanks Aamir,

I thought I had made some headwind and narrowed the issue down to the MSFS bindings on my TCA Airbus engine switches. I unplugged the throttle and did a flight and the engines shutdown properly when I did it manually with the mouse so then I rebooted the sim with the throttle connected and deleted all the bindings for just the engine switches in the sim and assigned them too Spad Next instead. I just finished a 2nd flight and the whole aircraft locked up apart from the displays as I was turning onto final as I noted in my original post. I kept going and it came back too life. Once on the ground I shut the engines down at the parking ramp and it froze again and the engine displays are still running with minus values. I still think there is something going on with the process of shutting the engines down because it was fine until I did that.

Restarting the Fenix App does not even unfreeze the aircraft,

So weird, I really do hope you can get to the bottom of this.

I just tried another flight without using the switches on my TCA throttle,  got to the gate and turned of the seatbelt signs, no smoking and emergency exit and the aircraft froze. Cannot even shutdown the engines.

The Fenix is grounded and going in the hanger for now ☹️

Do you have by any chance dual monitors?...I've had a similar experience to your issue, the airplane just suddenly froze and had to close MSFS via the exe.  This happened a couple of time with me and I thought it was my PC's memory failing but other games I play are running fine with no issues and some of those games are very demanding.

This is with all Fenix aircraft.  I also have running in the background and run most of them on my second monitor when this occur: A Pilots Life 2, Active Sky, Passengers2, REX Atmos, AutoFPS, MiniFCU with TM Airbus throttle and Xbox controller.

I run Frame Generation with MSFS with a watercooled RTX 4090, AMD 7800x3D with 64GB ram.   When I change access my second monitor frame gen is disable, and you notice this by a flicker when changing back to your main MSFS monitor.  This back and forth with my main 4K monitor to the second 2K monitor might be the  cause of my problem with the Fenix...I don't know for sure though.

Now, I have stop using my second monitor and I haven't encounter any freezes yet with two flight so far. Those were about 2 hours each.   I am going to test again with my second monitor to see if I get the frozen Fenix.  It could be something else triggering this. I don't know, but I did have what you are describing...You are not alone.....

I do have a 2nd monitor connected via my onboard graphics (CPU) that I normally run Beyond ATC on. I have had this running for some time, Something must have happened with one of the recent Fenix updates. I will give it a try in the morning, I have been at it all day and I am a bit deflated lol

Sounds like one of those annoying, incredibly difficult to troubleshoot, random issues... As everything was running completely fine recently, it must be related to one of the recent Fenix updates.
