LIDO charts are excellent, but they don’t have the coverage of Jeppesen. I am sure that Working Title has done a stellar job on the new EFB and flight planner, and it will probably fully meet the needs of many MSFS users, but add-ons like PMDG and Fenix are tightly integrated with Simbrief/Navigraph and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. It will be interesting to see how feature rich the in-sim planner is. I have relied on Navigraph all these years, but I have wished for a simpler process, an in-sim solution, I just never thought it would come. I am not convinced yet that it can do all that I would like but I am certainly going to give it a good try for a couple of months and see how far I can take it. And hopefully the likes of PMDG and Fenxi will consider adopting it. MSFS 2024. It takes me about 1 1/2 minutes at most to get a flight plan, and everything I need for a flight and loads right into my aircraft.

It is easy and relatively quick, I just prefer to be able to do that work in the sim and not need to do it on an external site and then download the information. I would like an "internal" flow. And I also have to say I would like to be able to save the C$13.55 I pay each month to Navigraph. MSFS 2024. You know what flight plans are 2. You know what Simbrief is 3. You have learned how to use Simbrief 4. You have learned how to either use the Simbrief downloader or are using a plane that natively integrates with SB -- For people that are relatively new, or simply not that deep into simming, it is extremely confusing to figure all this out. When I started learning all this stuff 10+ years ago, it took me ages to realize that there's a third-party website that I have to go, then learn how to use it, then learn how to get it into the sim. There was no easy way to learn either.. back then there were a bunch of planning tools and a ton of forums with everyone recommending different things. The tools weren't user friendly either. I bought Topcat and PFPx and simply gave up after a while. It was only LittleNavMap and Simbrief that really helped me learn. Over time I naturally learnt more and got deeper into it, but if I wasn't very deeply interested in aviation, I would have given up. I wanted to start FSX/P3D/XP, and just use that to set up my flight. I didn't want to learn all the rest. In fact, that's why I liked FSX over XP back then.. it had a flight planning tool, at least a basic one. So yeah, while there will always be a market of advanced simmers who know exactly how to use Navigraph and Simbrief and all the rest, there needs to be something in the sim itself that covers 90% of the use cases. The remaining 10% can be covered by tools aimed at real-world pilots/expert simmers. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
