Today is October 26th, 2024, and their software is in much better shape "as it is" compared to what PMDG released in AUG 2023. Yes, both have their advantages and disadvantages, but what’s the point of your statement? 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

PMDG never release anything announced as early access. I've been a customer of PMDG for 20 years. Never seen it. But what they say and deliver are a different story. But what they say and deliver are a different story. As cautioned in other threads, we should keep ifly or other products out of this thread. To answer this directly, they may not have done this in the past but they most certainly were upfront on release that the 737 is considered "early adopter," as they continue to add more features to the plane. They reiterated this back in July of this year: "I realize that many developers would re-bundle these changes to a two year old product as 2.0 and hold out the collection plate- but we still don't consider the 737 to be a "complete" airplane. From our vantage point we still have not cleared the last hurdles that will allow us to end the "early adopter" period for the 737, as we haven't finished our deliverables timeline on that airplane, because we transferred development of some of the key features over to 777, figuring we'd back-port them to 737 when 777 is completed. That process will happen over the next few months... so fun times ahead for 737 owners as we bring in new features to keep the airplane looking and feeling fresh and current." That being said they are nearing the end of it, and they will eventually raise the price. Given the features on the plane as of this moment, I think people who have gripes about the immersion factors in particular will still be disappointed. The other system bugs like in lnav and vnav can still technically be improved over time but not necessarily be considered new features.

October 28, 20241 yr Thankfully all simmers will be able to use the built in flight planner and charts soon. No need for external apps or website like Simbrief. Bring on FS2024. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

Simbrief is a hack website that wasn't even developed by Navigraph. The new one by Working Title is Pro level and integrated into flight sim with everything there including fuel and payload calcs, and charts etc http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

I'll believe when I see it and try it out. Until then, as you said, hacked Simbrief. Cheers! October 28, 20241 yr I am looking forward to the new flight planning stuff, but also doubt it will be a day one for non-first party apps.
