But how about the wind data uplink. It does not work, or does it?

I get wind data uplink invalid and no one seems to know if it works? Actually?

Already in this alpha/beta version I much prefer flying it to the PMDG 737 for various reasons. And I'm usually a "study-level-only" type of simmer.

It works for me.

It's a super plane. Keep in mind they are not newcomers on the block. Having developed for both FSX and P3D.

If you read the operations manual it explains setting up simlink, Navigraph and setting up weather import. Whether you're using default MS or Active sky. Once I set mine setting up correctly, all is working fine. There is also a tutorial that loaded with your purchase that shows how to setup up EFB and FMC.Also their Discord channel offers a lot of help.

With simbrief it downloaded the wx.file by simbrief downloader. I pointed it to the work.folder -》 WX. You know that folder, right?

The wx.file is the weatherfile/ same name as active flt.plan. It shows wind data for every FL.

How come when I try to load in the wind data I get the message "Wind data uplink invalid"?

I read I had to put the weather file into the appdata/ifly/work.folder/wx (subfolder).

Multi Crew Experience support is imminent.  By all accounts, the plane has an excellent and easy to work with SDK, so I don't know why FS2Crew wouldn't support it.

To answer the OP, I have put this aircraft through it's paces probably more so than most simmers, with the custom navdata testing I do.  I can report that after building many of the most technically demanding RNP procedures I know of into the iFly nav database (these are real world but non-public procedures flown in 737s, so the real airplane can do them but most sim aircraft can't), this thing can handle complex nav procedures better than anything else in the sim that I've tried.  It's not just "ok", it is exemplary, at another level compared to the PMDG 's handling of these same procedures with their new navdata.

I've also done quite a few Vatsim "here to there" flights with no issues.  I gave myself a hydraulic system A failure the other day going into Ketchikan, and all worked as expected.  Watching one gear at a time free fall during the emergency gear extension was fun.  Small details of cascading systems failures during hydraulic or electrical failures are modeled at least as well as on the PMDG.

Can I find bugs?  Sure, and they've been reported and are being fixed.  But certainly nothing major or even very meaningful in terms of affecting the plane's usability.  It is ridiculously good for a first version of an early release.  I'd wager 90+% of sim users don't know enough about 737s to even recognize most of these bugs.

I guess I need to fight my laziness and conservatism and finally try this out with PMDG. Many people recommended .

I'm using Active Sky weather data, so your mileage might vary. Anyway I just did what's in the manual, step by step

I use Active sky for my weather so my setup may be a little different, but in the EFB, I selected Active sky text for my winds data. I then load my flt plan into Active Sky which downloads the plan weather and winds. In the EFB you have to send your data back to FMC so it can get uploaded.
