Simple question - is this thing flyable, such as Fenix/PMDG or it's merely a RC.

thanks!

To answer the OP, I have put this aircraft through it's paces probably more so than most simmers, with the custom navdata testing I do.  I can report that after building many of the most technically d

From what I've read and seen on youtube (I'm picky about what channels I watch) it's better than the PMDG 737 series in its current state.

I'd say its not on the same level as Fenix though.  They're probably the ultimate when it comes to airliners.

I'm enjoying it as much as my other airliners including the PMDG 737s and Fenix.

This „thing“ is indeed a great aircraft. Based my first flights it is on the same level as PMDGs 737 and Fenix‘ A320, although still in Beta. ILS and RNAV approaches are a joy to fly and I particularly like the bright, very well modelled cockpit. The EFB however is not (yet) on par with the above mentioned aircraft. And sadly iFly still does not support moving aircraft symbol on the Navigraph charts.

I would recommend getting it right now, it is that good 👍

Yep its absolutley awesome....even as it is now...could do with the moving map arrow  in navigraph sorting out though...it really is top notch!

I never understood the hype with the Fenix. The flight model on their products is still far off from what it should be after all these years. iFly's MAX has a better flight model even in its "early access" state.

The iFly MAX is not complete, but no product is. They all have their issues, but the iFly better than many other products in the most important areas.

Also enjoying it a lot, not quite PMDG level yet, but it's just out, and once a few updates hit, it will be up there.

It’s a decent plane but I don’t believe it’s worthy of the excess praise it gets.  Want the real picture?  Visit the iFly discord where the owners and word not allowed hang. There you will get a more accurate picture of the aircraft, jewels, warts and all.
Full disclosure: I do own and fly the iFly Max, but no where as much as I am currently flying and enjoying the FBW a380.

Using it for Iceland Air ops. Love it. I’d be very surprised if the mega update does not drop by Friday.

Stupid question - does it have the accelerated time feature like Fenix and PMDG?

thanks

It does like PMDG (automated) but only up to 2x acceleration.

Apart from missing simbrief integration + wind data not working and controller spike issues interfering with the autoflight systems, I agree the addon is quite good.

I have it and very much enjoying lying it. In it's present release state it has it's quirks, but it's fun to fly and do ILS approaches. It can only get better in the future with updates. I find the quality on par with Fenix and PMDG. Can't wait to see what new features they employ in FS 2024.
