2nd thoughts on 2024 version? Steam refunded me.

I bought the Standard 2024 on steam. Had second thoughts because some of the new deluxe and premium planes began to look good to me.

Bottom line: I asked Steam for refund on 2024. 42 minutes later they emailed back that the refund was given.

However, in the "reason for refund" box when I applied, I said that I wanted the Premium version. They may not have refunded if they thought I was going to later downgrade, instead of later upgrade. So far I have not purchased the upgrade. Did get the refund.

It's a pre-order. They have to refund you. It's in their ToS.

I do wish people would not leap to speculatory conclusions so quickly. It's part of the reason the internet is becoming less useful.

  • The drawback is floating a loan to a multi-billion-dollar company.    Only in the gaming industry do people prepurchase a game that is NOT limited in the number of copies available.

  • If you pre order the limited edition version like me, you later find out the “limited” part refers to it limiting your access to the simulator until mid December. Thanks aerosoft

  • Refunds of pre-orders are always guaranteed on Steam. I don't think it matters what you put as the reason. You're also guaranteed a refund for released products if you do it within 2 weeks of buy

I wish people would read the thread before responding

3 other people have already pointed that out.

I also pre ordered with Steam for budgeting reasons. Luckily Steam charges the account right away. 2024 comes out before the next payday and my wife surely would have made quick work of any money I'd set aside for it lol.

The point had more to do with people making the internet suck lol

So many threads on here are like "Google asked and answered" category questions that somehow end up 3 pages of recriminations and conspiracy theories.

It actually makes a pretty good argument for Dead Internet Theory lmao
