Or does an airport show when you start a flight there? I did a reinstall and things seem to be working now. November 26, 20241 yr I noticed last night that Orbx Central now have a 2024 option, and a couple of my many purchases have appeared under it - so I guess these are products that they have tested and verified as fully compatible - or they have just updated them? November 29, 20241 yr I can't get this to work at all and it's rather annoying, I must say. I go to the library settings and click "browse" to tell it the new location and when I select the folder the library settings window closes. Doesn't even let me click on the confirm button. It just vanishes. If click on settings again to see if it has changed it hasn't. Still the same idiotic default location it installed to without my permission to begin with. I don't want it on my C drive. Why on earth would I want all my addons sucking up all my C drive space? I can't start using this sim until I can move this community folder and install a plane worthy of my time. Not a good start. Despite giving them a week and a half to sort their house out 2024 has fallen at the very first hurdle for me. Unless I'm missing something so profoundly obvious, which is feasable, but I can't see what that would be. EDIT: Just got it to work but it's clearly bugged. I select the folder and the settings vanish without getting the chance to click on confirm. Then if you bring it back up again the path is still the silly original path. If you click confirm it vanishes again. If you bring it up again then you can see the path has actually changed. Trouble is, you don't want to click confirm because it's telling you that it's confirming the location it already is and not the one you have tried to tell it you want. It was only out of frustration I thought I would try to press confirm despite all logic telling me that it shouldn't work. Silliness. January 23, 20251 yr I just today went thru this whole exercise, prompted a little by these discussions but mostly because I was having issues with aircraft not seeing their liveries and so I watched a video or three and began. It’s not difficult to do but it’s good if you can get your head wrapped around the folder structure. In my case I did have: Community Official2020 Official2024, but I also had the same three folders nested inside of Offical2020. I believe it was a result of my day one purchase and the calamity day one installation was. Problem was IT WORKED. Well it worked after a fashion. What I discovered this day after a video or three and about two hours of trial and error was this. I had two WORKING Community Folders and they both had working files (packages). Once I understood what was happening I correctly set up my three packages folder and all my livery/plane issues went away, which was the expected outcome. What shocked me the most was the UNEXPECTED OUTCOME. I gained a solid 20% boost on frames, from 60 or so average with Fenix to now a solid 80! I don’t know why exactly but I think it had to do with streamed and local content, two containers when it expects one and a bit of PFM. So…of yer frames are tanking against all your peers frames, check pathing first! It might help. EDIT: As I am so fond of saying, “There Ain’t No Such Thing as A Free Lunch”. Turns out my graphic settings got shifted a bit. Mostly from TAA to DLSS. With a couple of adjustments I think I will try out DLSS for awhile. Can’t hurt. -B Edited January 23, 20251 yr by btacon
