Once I moved my community folder it mostly works.  There are a few issues with the clock on the yoke and the altimeter drum rollover (the altitude selection).  And then it works okay with the GNS 530

Let me make sure I understand. I intend to install 2024 on the C drive. So I don't need to worry about changing community folder location, right? And the items that I have in my 2020 community can be simply copied and pasted into the 2024 community folder and all should work, right?

My purchases from 2020 will load and fly but they all have little goofy issues, but its to be expected. I hope they get an update. Would hate to have to buy the products again, If you know what i mean.

Yes, I personally changed it because all my flight sim stuff is not on the "C" drive. I have a dedicated M.2 for flight sim thus freeing up space on my C

The same happened to me.

Somebody has an idea why i'm not able to copy these 3 folders to another drive or folder? I always get a message that I'm not allowed to copy or lets see to paste the folders into a ne position?

I still cannot get this to work.

I changed the UserCfg.opt file to show this:  InstalledPackagesPath "D:\Program Files\MSFS2024"

And I verify it in game.  When I look at the directory D:\Program Files\MSFS2024 there is no community foler. I would have screenshots but this format is terrible for allowing them.

P.S.  If screenshots would be helpful, I can move the screenshots to my other computer and then ftp them to my website and then put the links here.

The three folders are created automatically when you restart the sim.

The other folders were there except the community folder (I have a screenshot).  I tried this several times yesterday and it didn't work. Started the morning off at 6:00am trying it again.  After trying this a couple of times and rebooting after each try, on the second attempt it started working.

So I moved the Flysimware C414 to the new D:\Program Files\MSFS2024\Community folder using Addon Linker and I don't see the plane when trying to fly it.

So I am testing my Community folder because I am seeing the Flysimware C414 here:  D:\Program Files\MSFS2024\Community

I go to test my theory kowing the Fenix patch was released. I look in the Community folder above and nothing.  I look and find it here: C:\Users\jnava\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community.  I see the Fenix in free flight mode.

Something is amiss.  I am tempted to uninstall and reinstall.

From my side, I just went the lazy way:

After changing the location of the folder from the sim settings (I hate editing files), I restarted the sim and the three folders official2020, official2024 and Community appeared in the new location as expected after restarting the sim (nothing happened after just saving the setting, I had to kill and restart the sim).

Then I deleted the new Community folder from that new location, and I created a symbolic link (with mklink) to the old Community folder of my MSFS2020 which is still installed for now. And of course it works.

So now my MSFS2024 is showing all of my addon planes (excepted the A400m by Roland Laborie... maybe a name conflict?), and I can see the solar farms and electric lines. I haven't checked the boats in the marinas or the ski lifts and gondolas yet. Just taking the time to check which MSFS2020 planes work well and which do not.
