So, for those of us who are not fortunate enough to have 40 series Nvidia GPU's, I'm pleased to say that the FG mod works in MSFS 2024

You need to download the universal version. Also, you need to have a nexusmods account. 

https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738?tab=files

D/L the folder and extract the zip file. In the unzipped folder there will be 5 folders, you need the dll version folder. Inside that folder there are two files and a readme txt file. Copy the "dllsg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll and the "version.dll" and copy them to the MSFS 2024 diectory, where the sim's .exe resides. 

That's it! The next time you boot up the sim, the frame generation option will now be visible in the graphics settings section. Toggle it on, and away you go! Cheers!

We should not need Frame gen mods, Auto FPS mods, LOD scripts etc. it should be optimized to run well out of the box! This is after years of being told it will be multi threaded for maximum CPU perf!

You don't need any of that stuff unless you're bottlenecked by something. It's been running great for me at a steady 40fps so far on ultra, same settings and same hardware compared to 2020. There's definitely big improvements in performance.

The only reason I want frame gen for this one is the smoothness from doubling the frames.

Well I have seen videos of streamers who have good hardware and it seems at ground level around big airports, there still exists the same perf issues. I wasn't impressed.

MY Card is RTX 2080 S and Frame Gen was working for me on MSFS2020. But now, when I did the same in MSFS 2024 it is not working or showing the "Frame Gen" option in graphics settings. 

What is you card ? And do you have any suggestion? Thanks in advance.

You have to make sure you have downloaded the universal version of the mod. The mod version that worked in MSFS2020 does not work in 2024. Click on the link and download the universal version of the mod, follow the instructions and try again.

Hi, I have installed the frame mod and now have the option enabled in game. i have set it on and set AA to DLSS quality, i also have ensured GPU scheduling is enabled.

 

I see no increase in FPS at all is there anything obvious i may have missed?

Do you check the FPS via ingame FPS counter? They never show the frame generated FPS...

Steam's Frame counter does show generated frames. I believe the In-game developer frame counter also shows generated frames, as opposed to MSFS2020.

I hadn't considered this as yet as my 3080TI seems to be coping pretty well with 2024.

I've never used a Frame Generator mod before but tempted to give it a go to see if I see any difference in performance.  Cheers,

I have never used a Frame Gen mod previously but following on from the above, I have now downloaded it to try it and it has pretty much doubled my frame rates in the scenarios I have been testing in.

All of the 'Super Resolution' options seem to work well, with the exception of DLAA, which seems to cause some issues, particularly when moving the camera around.

I'm now questioning whether there is a need to also download the Auto FPS mod - another mod I have never used in the past.
