The plan is to give PC users the ability to download the same assets as in 2020; the functionality was not completed before release so we are stuck with full streaming; when that changes 2024 will be basically the same as 2020. Guesswork on your part to assume there would be no MS2020 without X-Box! Even so, I'd be on X-Plane 12 before P3D!!! Yes, there is no definite way to say MSFS would or wouldn't exist without the X, but I think most who following gaming would conclude both a significant number of people play on consoles -- they gave a break down at the Expo this year -- and that without that attention it would be hard to justify the costs for PC alone. They also said that x-box compatibility was always a part of the agreement to produce the title, hence SU5 And, yea, I would be right with you on X-Plane; I will never go back to P3D. MSFS 2024. I assume FS 2024 servers are using FS2020. This is unacceptable if that's the case. FS2024 needs to be Offline like FS2020. Making it completely on a cloud is ridiculous. A lot of Dev's are pleading with them to go Offline a well. Bluebird Developer just posted a video asking for the same thing. If Asobo is pulling the Apple move (slowing down the previous version so people will switch to new one) than, I have no words for this I’ve not been online all weekend (been in work trying to keep the UK online during storm Bert) - if that is indeed the case then it’s outrageous and sums up my worse fears. November 25, 20241 yr 'If they start that cynical and utterly vile tactic, I'll be out of MSFS completely.' In my opinion the entire MS2024 project has been a cynical money-driven project that will cost MS and Asobo dear.
November 28, 20241 yr Hello All, I started an online petition for MSFS 2024 to offer an OFFLINE MODE on CHANGE.ORG. Follow the link below to sign it. Once I get a few signatures they will post it on the site. Once I get enough I will submit the link to Asobo Studios. https://chng.it/jcvRgkMX69
