November 23, 20241 yr hope this gets fixed soon because i have tried to set it and it's not remembering it's location, not returning to pilot seat either. a real mess.
November 23, 20241 yr I haven't bought the game yet, but I'm assuming the "VFR Pilot View Save" option won't work in 2024? if that's the case it is a game breaker for me that will keep me playing 2020. That function is there and works fine, I set up all my main views with that command. I then set up a button on yoke/joystick to 'Reset View' to get me back in the pilot seat. I used the number pad to assign all other custom views as I did in 2020. Eric i9-12900k, RTX 5070ti OC, 32GB ddr5 5600 RAM, 2TB 980 Pro SSD, Titan 240RX AIO, Samsung CRG90 49", Win 11

Good to hear, thanks a lot for clearing this out for me 👍 then I just have to wait until the game is better optimized before I jump on the bandwagon. When I setup the cockpit view that I want and hit my keybind for VFR PILOT VIEW SAVE it apparently has no effect because when I then press my button for reset cockpit view, the camera goes back to the default position before I made any changes. I can't get it to save my chosen cockpit view at all. I've opened a topic on the official forums and nobody else there seems to have got it to work either, so very keen to find out how you have it working please.

Simply go into the keyboard bindings, bind the Save Custom Camera to Shift + 1 and so forth, and then bind the Set Custom Camera to 1 through 0. And make sure you don't have double bindings. That's not so hard, is it?
November 23, 20241 yr Not talking about setting up custom cameras. In 2020 you could save your preferred cockpit view using the "VFR PILOT VIEW SAVE" and then reset the position using "RESET COCKPIT VIEW" commands without touching custom cameras which was what Ixoye was asking about. That specific functionality is not currently working as the view does not appear to be saved. You are talking about custom cameras which is something completely different.

That is odd since it is working great on my end. I'm assuming you set up a new duplicate keyboard in the 'General' section? I duplicated the default one that says 2024 keyboard or something like that. I then reworked keys for all my views. I am using CTRL-ALT-V as my keybind for 'VFR Pilot View Save'. I used to use custom views early on in MSFS 2020 and can't remember why I switched to the VFR view several years ago. I know there were some odd things going on when using the custom views.... How bizarre. Yes I set up a new custom keyboard based on the 2024 defaults just like you. Changed to my preferred keybinds for various things and went with CTRL-F10 for my VFR view save as that's what it was in 2020 and I'm used to it! I have a button on my Airbus stick and on my Boeing yoke mapped to view reset exactly like in 2020. I found the default view in the Ini A330 for example offset to the right of the captain seat and zoomed in way too far. So I move the view to where I like it, save the VFR view using CTRL-F10 and as soon as I move the view and press my reset button it goes back to the original offset, zoomed in view and has not saved my custom view at all. It's a little frustrating. Yes, it can be worked around using a custom camera but I'd rather just have the old view functionality working again.
