  • Makes you wonder: If one guy can fix this within a week, then why did they ship it broken in the first place?

Love this constant progression. Just one question? Why dont you use the simmarket installation routine? Is there any benefit from having the user move the folder manually? Except of course for those like me using AddonLinker 🤣

Thank you. Someone  just was complaining why he had to use simmarket app to download this and can't just download the file directly. So I am not sure how most people are downloading it.

Great video! Would have been awesome in 4K though.

Just did a flight in Australia. Isn't it summer there now? I'm not sure if there should be colours on the trees. This is from Coffs Harbour:

Is this a stock airport or paid addon?  Is that just the airport area?  What I learned is that many airport have  tree model imported from asobo library and many of those have wrong seasons and some can't even be removed. I'll check the area and see if they editable.

Vaguely remember reading something about no difference in the seasons between hemispheres - so winter here is winter in oz too. No idea if that's the case for real or just a bit of avsim imagination.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I just visited the place and didn't see any fall color trees. Try to do a restart and see if that helps. Maybe it was from the cache.

Same. Just looking at it from the zoomed in map view with all the trees loaded in I can already see that there are no fall colours. And sitting on the ramp itself same.

No fall trees on my end. As it should be.

Good point. It's payware by Impulse Simulations. I'll have a look around down under and see if it's a general issue.

EDIT: I think it's the airport. I tried a couple of other Australian locations, and it seems fine.

Hello Bijan, I just purchased this and flew a few areas to make sure it was working which it is. However, it totally nerfed the Photogrammetry in Beverly Hills north of Sunset BLVD. I checked it twice with it installed and uninstalled. PG returned when I uninstalled your add-on. Is this a bug or a design decision. If a design decision, it should have been made clear that by using this add-on some Photogrammetry would be disabled. I would not have purchased if I knew this in advance.

I love what you did with fall foliage in the Midwest, but the Virgin Islands (haven’t checked other Caribbean islands yet) are less accurate than default. The islands don’t have barrel cactus everywhere and the trees have been thinned way too much. I really hope you consider revisiting the Caribbean.

Hello,
Thanks for the purchase but this was very clear as I have mentioned it in the description on my simmarket page:
My approach involves removing Photogrammetry from trees and small houses, as they often appear merged and distorted. I also remove spiky mountains and forests, while preserving main high-rise buildings and important structures. If you prefer not to have this modification, you can simply delete the corresponding file from the scenery folder.

And the island do have barrel cactus everywhere in desert part of it (not the whole island).  I won't just place that in the island if I didn't know they were there:
There are tons of pictures online showing this mass cactus growing everywhere on the island. Here is just one:

If you can take a screenshot from above so I can see what area it is covering, I can draw a exclusion polygon on it to override the wrong trees.

Wrong island! That’s one small island off the coast of South America. I’ve been to the Caribbean at least 15 times to most of the islands. I know want it looks like. You clearly haven’t been there. Tortola looks like Arizona with your mod. But so much for listening to constructive input. Secondly, from your description it did not say it would completely replace large areas of a city.

This is what 95% of the islands in the Caribbean look like, not barrel cactuses. spacer.png

I appreciate and consider all constructive feedback. As stated earlier, my modifications involve replacing trees and houses while preserving large, high-rise structures. Obviously, this means large areas as there are more houses in city than high rises.

The mage you are showing is from the dense forest part. Not the part that belongs to desert areas. So what you claim is not true. I do NOT have all Caribbeans like desert.  For forest parts I do have exactly like the image you posted.

Not every part of Caribbean is a forest. They do have deserts. Look at the images I posted. They ARE from Caribbean and virgin island.
