In the past anytime I've ordered at simmarket, the price showed up check out.

If you have already purchased the qualifying add-on it will appear in your account and the discount applied.

Just got this and it fixes the biomes in the midwest US... finally seeing more than just pine trees in Illinois and Wisconsin. 2024 overdoes it with trees a bit more than 2020; subdivisions in city suburbs look more like cottage getaways you'd find in northern WI/MN/MI, but at least there is some color now with the correct biomes applied!

Makes you wonder: If one guy can fix this within a week, then why did they ship it broken in the first place?

Because ASOBO did it once and got away with it. They knew that they could do it again and that most customers would not care. To them, thold sim and the new sim have always been a work in progress. 2024 is just a paid update and we were willing to pay. That's how I see it even though the sim will be worth the price once it's been patched up for a few months or even years.

I started working on these 14 hours a day for more than a month since I had early access.

 But your question is still valid. Maybe they didn't have enough resources or enough time 

A must have to fix Asobo’s incompetence. How many times was this reported to them? It was even slightly fixed in 2020.
 

But nah, they just don’t keep track or don’t communicate amongst themselves and it shows at every level. 

Add AI traffic to this list. Just unbelievable how many things are again «half-baked» in this sim...

Guys this is Asobo, We've had four years of ignorance, just look at the state of VR in this release it is actually laughable 🤣🤦‍♂️ it's beyond incompetence it really is!

What I really dont get is how those people work. They have so many, uncountable possibilities to see what the community thinks is important. Personally, I would have taken the "lifetime bug list" and "lifetime wish list" from MSFS2020 and then working through these lists with the aim that at least 80% of the points on these lists are included in the new sim to a level people will accept it. But no, they recapitulate bugs and shortcomings of the old sim in the new sim and even expand the list... unbelievable. 

Example: yesterday I wanted to test Bijans new addon by doing a short sightseeing flight with the C-172. As I do not like the G1000 variant, I took the classic variant. Lo and behold, this is bugged because the electrical system does not work. Seriously? They stuff like 100 planes into the sim but a good number of them is currently unusable due to bugs. Why not concentrating on 20 or 30 planes but making sure that they are top notch and work 100%

Design decisions and development decisions I will never understand. What a bummer. The potential is soooo huge, but again it was released just "half-baked". Pity. 

PS: I am for sure positive that within a year many things are getting resolved. 

Bought this today. Extracted and copied to community folder however during a short test flight in the UK I don’t think it’s worked. Everything looks as it did before.  Am I missing a step?

Hello,

Did you delete the official fs-base-biomes?
Did you place both folder in community folder?

There was only one folder extracted from my sim-market download.  It didn’t have any instructions that I could see, so I just placed that folder into my 24 community.  Didn’t delete the biomes as no instructions!

You will need to unzip or extract the exe file. Then you will see two folders and install.txt file. Place the two folders in community folder. 

That’s what I did, I ran the .exe and it only extracted one folder. I’m away from my computer now until tomorrow so will try again. Unless the v1.1 file from Simbrief is broken?
