December 3, 20241 yr Commercial Member Version 1.2 released: Added coastline tree clearance in various parts of the world. If you notice any place where trees are too close to shores, let me know. UK update. Initially I extended the fall season by 30 days. I adjusted it to 20 days now. Removed some of the evergreen trees and bushes in the UK. Removed spiky photogrammetry from mountains in Bilbao, Spain Vancouver - As part of our ongoing effort to improve scenery, I’m removing photogrammetry trees. This process also requires the removal of all houses and some smaller buildings, as they are often merged with trees. Smaller houses and buildings will be replaced with auto-generated alternatives. Many of the original houses were poorly rendered anyway, with a “melted” appearance. To preserve the visual integrity of urban areas, I’ve avoided removing trees that are merged with high-rise buildings, as this would compromise their appearance. In some areas, I’ve taken a targeted approach, only removing photogrammetry trees that were of particularly poor quality compared to other areas. Feedbacks welcome. Los Angeles - Added palm trees to beaches and few of the streets. Los Angeles -Removed photogrammetry in west of San Fernando Valley, parts of Santa Monica and Santa Monica mountains and Hollywood hills. Ongoing process. Feedbacks welcome. December 5, 20241 yr @BijanStudio Hey Bijan, I'm not quite sure whether this is an appropriate channel to make requests or if that should rather go to your e-mail directly, but I saw in the release notes of the last version that you can also do stuff like extend or shorten seasons. I believe RexAccuseasons also did this reasonably well with their weekly changing foliage system. I notice that in my area of western germany the base sim gets this wrong with the base seasons, just like it happened in the FSX days. I don't know how granular seasons can be or if autumn colours are either on and off. If it is on and off, then for the area of western Germany they should be on from around October 20th to November 25th. I have been closely watching this in recent years in real life because I was always curious how close this can be represented in the sim. If it can be more granular than trees start to lose their green slowly and very gradually about 10 days before September Equinox, but do not develop full autumn colours well into the second half of October and first week of November. Then the falling starts and is completely finished before December begins. So that at December 1st you should get full leaveless trees in the sim. Spring is another matter as it seems more dependant on how warm March is. This year the leaves started to grow by the end of March, last year it was much colder and it took until the end of April. Either way, depicting spring foliage from March 1st onward in the Sim is too early. It should not start before the last week of March. Edited December 5, 20241 yr by Farlis
December 5, 20241 yr I also have a question regarding seasons. I read somewhere that currently there's a limitation with seasons in MSFS2024 so that basically, there's going to be the same season across the whole world. I.e. winter in both the Northern and Southern hemispheres simultaneously. Is this true? And if so, is it possible to do something about this? Yes someone mentioned this before as well and I've already changed the day fall ends. I'll adjust the spring as well. It's either missing or shoes wing season. Both are fixed with my mod. December 5, 20241 yr Bijan: I've put the folders in the Community Folder as required, but I have no way to determine if it's working or not.
