FENIX Update 2.3.0.532

Featured Replies

2.3.0.532

Hey @everyone - this latest build is a stability and infrastructure focused one, aiming to clean things up like APPR mode crashes and such. This update is for BOTH 2020 and 2024, so install it no matter what platform you’re running Avionics and Systems

Fixed A32X systems not loading/unloading correctly

Fixed CAB ALT gauge not showing the correct value

Fixed some crashes

Art and Sound

2024: fixed cockpit blend mask across AO, metalness and roughness

Installer (v1.0.141)

Old log files are now cleaned up when installing a new product

If both MS Store and Steam are installed, MS Store will be preferred (this is similar to what the logic was before)

Added additional logging around exe.xml

Fixed a crash when the user's Fenix login details were corrupt

Fixed exe.xml not being edited if 2020 products are updated, then 2024 installed on top of that (or vice versa)

Thanks for the heads up!

Looks like it isn't live yet as my installer is not showing the update (version 2.3.0.524)

Yep it‘s out.  downloaded when I posted. When did you update the installer last? May need to update that first for 2024 use unless you already did so before

edit. The installer now is Installer (v1.0.141)

Indeed, i noticed that... had an old installer so downloaded the updated version.. executed that file and now get "Bob had a bad experience and cant find a flight sim" error...

Uninstalled it and reinstalled... same issue..

Now unsure what to do!

It did ask to update it and went ahead with that but the error is still there... bummer

OK, that was weird! After installing and uninstalling multiple times, i ran MSFS2024 and closed it down...

Interestingly, when i checked Navigrapgh Hub this morning, all of the airacs were not there...only the Fenix as it sits outside the sim...

When i entered the sim, i noticed all of my add-on airports were not showing! Its like MSFS2024 didn't exist!

Any rate, i was able to install the installer and update the Fenix... this is very odd behavior for a sim

So you entered 2024 and which airports were not showing? Those previously bought on the marketplace and usually shown under my library? Or those you manually put into the 2024 community folder

btw good that you sorted that fenix problem. It just flies great in 2024

getting a bit tiresome.  why do we always have to install a new installer when they come out with an update.  The installer does not really 'update' - it is a complete reinstall where one has to put in their passwords and codes and then  reset the settings.  Seems like I just did this a bit ago.  Probably gonna skip this update (no I dont have 24).

Not sure why you're going through all that Mike.

The installer updates itself and doesn't require you to have to input everything again.  Then you just update the product itself.  There is no re-install for anything.

This is not the expected behaviour, and I've not come across any reports of this myself yet. The installer update should be relatively unnoticed bar a 2-5 seconds "Installer updating to VX.X.." loading bar that will appear before launching. All settings should be saved, and during the main product update we even carry over your cameras.cfg if you have custom views. Please do drop us a support ticket and we'll do our best to assist!

ok, then I have to suspect I am doing it wrong, is there a hard link where I can get this installer you are talking about?  Is it a button in one of your apps?

hello

having a bit of an issue. i have msfs on d drive and msfs 2024 on I drive as i was running out of space. i have installed the new installer and it will not show the msfs 2024 option.  i have uninstalled reinstalled and no dice.

anyone have any ideas? i am lost i an unsure how to get this working on both sims.  FENIX wont answer any 2024 answers at present.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
