December 8, 20241 yr First thing, I am very new to the Fenix and am a Boeing guy. I got one short flight in today DEN-ABQ and everything went fairly smooth. I'm doing another one right now and the A/P disconnects mid flight and doesn't turn on again. I also had a weird issue on departure where it'd follow a SID and then all of the sudden it'd change the route by itself and started banking. Are these known issues at the moment? Jacek G. The AP disconnecting once in awhile, has been going on for a long time. You have to push the yoke forward for a second, and then reengage it.

They're not addressing this even in 2020? Like you can't leave the cockpit unattended because it may happen any time? LOL Anyway, I did what you said and it started spiraling beyond recovery and the sim considered it a crash. Weird. Wasted flight time. Jacek G. December 8, 20241 yr I’m on my second leg with it in 2024 right now, all is good, it’s working as it did in 2020 for me so far. I think there was a recommendation to turn turbulence down from realistic to avoid AP disconnects in 2020? December 8, 20241 yr Fenix recommends setting turbulence to Low - based on IRL pilot tester recommendation: https://kb.fenixsim.com/turbulence-setting

LOL Have you set a deadzone on your joystick? Try that - the AP disconnects because it’s picking up user input. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
December 8, 20241 yr Experienced it yesterday, both the spiral and the AP disconnect, but today a great and totally uneventful flight which tasted like a delicious strawberry pie 🙂 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
December 8, 20241 yr Author I'll start with the turbulence. I don't know why the flight plan would get messed up though, like it literally got rid of two VOR waypoints in the flight plan and started turning on its own. The flight plan line went from straight to zig-zagged. Jacek G. December 8, 20241 yr This happened on my first 2 flights with the Fenix in 2024. I realized that one of my Custom View keys on the keyboard was also still mapped to Rudder Trim. I did not know what happened the first time but when it happened again I realized it was right when I hit my cabin view button. I also could not get the AP to reengage but this was the first time ever, including in MSFS 2020 that I had the AP disconnect. Once I fixed the bad binding all is good so far with about 6 trouble-free flights now. I always use the low turbulence setting, anything above is not realistic at all...
