I brought this up awhile ago asking if the "save settings" in dev mode was actually working. If you open dev mode and toggle off (remove) everything to the aircraft, then save settings, the next time you start the sim, you'll have to bring it up again as it doesn't save the setting that you want everything (covers and the like) removed. On aircraft that it works on, obviously.

Also, if you have dev mode activated, you disable crashes, unless you uncheck it.

removing covers on walkaround is cool if it works easily (i.e. if the mouse clicking on a blue spot does the trick). This is not the case. And Asobo knew it wasn't the case because it is the same for everyone, including all the computers at Asobo.

True. I just checked the computers at Asobo too. It doesn't work properly.

It isn't just the realism, the process is clunky and doesn't feel "organic" . I mapped the walkaround to my joystick and mouse, so it takes 2 hands, and finding the exact click spot is not easy.

Also you’d not as a pilot be removing engine or pitot covers from an A330. This would almost certainly be an engineering job. You’d check that they weren’t left in, but you would not be the one removing them.
