Status of IniBuilds/Synaptic A22X

Featured Replies

Dear All,

May I ask if anyone has any recent information on status of the IniBuilds/Synaptic A22X?

I'm looking forward to it a lot, but the last information that I had was a video last April about the Avionics.

Best regards,

Peter

Yeah, i was also looking forward to it, but heard nothing since. If it's still in development it's likely been affected by the new sim as well. Or as others are doing, launching a 2020 version first.

AMD Ryzen 7800x3d   64gb DDR5, Sapphire 7900 GPU MSSI Tomahawk AM5 M/Board. 1x 4tb Crucial M.2  SSD, 3x 2tb Crucial M.2 SSD's

They keep pushing back the next dev update. I'm guessing the next step is that they'll throw in the towel on releasing a high-quality product and switch to an early access model where we're asking in 2 years when they'll add a custom FMS and VNAV.

We were on track for an update by the end of fall but if you read the faq, iniBuilds is helping us with this project and they have roles in completing certain parts of the A22X - until those are completed we aren’t ready to showcase what we need to in the update. We want it to be an update rich in content and it's due to come soon

I'm thinking iniBuilds is right now prioritizing getting the MSFS 2024 Premium products out of the door as well as wrapping up the A350 for release. Having to release products for 2020 as well as 2024 does eat development time and resources. My guess is we'll hear more about the A220 once the A350 is out the door.

Having done some more research , i.e., I looked at the IniBuilds forum (sorry about that), it would appear that Synaptic are still doing the development work but under the auspices of IniBuilds. However, the Synaptic website is down as they are making a new one.  So we will just wait and see - hopefully, it won't be too long to wait to see it being published!  What they've shown so far looks great.

It might be still under development or perhaps development is currently on hold - Not heard anything new since it was last announced. Inibuilds is currently focusing on ironing out premium planes for MSFS 2024 as well as finishing and releasing A350. My best guess - any news about it will be announced after the A350 release.

FYI, the website has been down for well over a year.

I suspect we get some news or release in Summer.

I'm a big fan of the A220 series, but a bit upset by the fact that the Synaptics version has never been developed.

Finally I ended up by purchasing the VirtualCol version for MSFS2020 from the Marketplace. Far from perfect from the instruments and systems simulation, but not so bad regarding exterior textures. The cockpit is also a bit deficient, but that it's all that we got for now.

A bit off topic - I was thinking also of getting the Virtualcol one for the interim.

Are the cockpit and displays fully functional? Custom built for the A220?

Does it fly well?

I'm not into real simulation including failures etc..

The cockpit and displays are particular of the A220s, custom built, as you mention, and most of the buttons work. The product includes the -100 and the -300 series aircraft, and both series fly well (with wing flex).

You can look at the videos available in YouTube. Here you have one of them:
