I pushed the latest Zibo version, after trying to play with the LevelUp and finding out it was just too buggy flight model wise to please me 😕

Since nowadays I usually only play Airbus, I needed to refresh my memory regarding Boeing flows, and my searches in Youtube returned a few Zibo-centred tutorial, one of which I found really good and wanted to share here, but the author, who is now probably an MSFS user too, has many other interesting tutorials.

Give it a try: FlyBy Simulations - YouTube

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

…just a side-note: please don’t be mad at me for saying that but i get sick when I am reading people saying « playing an Airbus ». It’s an aircraft-addon in a sim. So you are « flying an Airbus ». I don’t understand how we can « play » an aircraft because that doesn’t make sense at all. I hope you will understand me 😊

I don't get mad, ofc !, but honestly for me, what exactly am I doing sitting in front of a desktop PC, "vlying" (virtually flying) an Airbus, Boeing, Cessna..., pretending I am a pilot, sometimes even enrolling in a career, virtual airline, etc... ?

We're PLAYING ... - you have to admit it 🙂

Trainning? For what? Based on what? C'mon.... XP12 and MSFS, Condorsoaring, DCS... are games !!!!

My daughter, a pshychologist, "kills" me when I say something like: "and that's why women are rare in desktop flight simulation, because females (as a whole) are a lot more selective regarding the purpose of what they do in life, and yes they play too, but not this kind of games :-)" [running to hide, should there be any feminist gals reading this... although I mean it as a compliment to women...]

You missed my point 😉 As we know it is both, a game and a sim and it depends on the user on how he uses it on how he prefers to call it. And my comment had nothing to do with that. But the sentence « play an aircraft » just doesn’t make any sense seriously. At least you are playing « with » an aircraft or playing with the features of an aircraft to find something out, but you simply cannot « play an aircraft » 😃

I remember having seen that already 1-2 times and it stayed in my head because i find it’s so funny-weird-wrong…so i thought something like that cannot come from a great contributor like you 😉

Let’s also ask Bing-KI:

- can we use the expression « I play an aircraft » when talking about a flightsimulator?

- Not quite. We can say "playing a flight simulator" or "flying an aircraft in a flight simulator." The term "playing" is best reserved for the simulator game itself, while "flying" describes the action within the simulation. For example, you could say: "I enjoy playing the flight simulator" or "I love flying different aircrafts in the flight simulator."

You’re welcome. And now I have to leave because I have to play an exercice (for fun) 😄😉

Ah! Ok it was a language use problem and in that plan, I fully agree with you!

I never use spell checker or text analysis tools when I write in English and my English is rather limited by the fact that I ONLY learned it decades ago at the school and highschool... And  I wasn't even an "A" grade student... Far from that 😁

I'd say that I learned English mostly when I started participating, long ago in NewsGroups of aviation and flight simulation, an then in the forums to which I adhered around 2004-2005 (AVSIM for the first time in 2006 🙂).

But, yes, from a language pov "paying an aircraft" doesn't make sense !!! At most I could "play being an aircraft" if I wore some sort of wings, tail and a pilot helmet 🙂

Some videos are old but still valid. This link has lots of Zibo specific topics.

And for a great tutorial, Skymatix' video here helped me get proficient with the 738, and even though it's old the steps still work. (The second half of this video)

Yep!  Thank you for those videos !

The Zibo feels a lot better in terms of ground and flight, compared to the last version of the LevelUp I tried until a couple days ago befor **uninstalling** it for good 🤣

So at the risk of hijacking @jcomm's thread, I have a similar request:

I have, thus far, remained pretty firmly in the GA aircraft realm with my flight simming. I'm also not a real-world pilot so I have none of that experience to draw on. But I'd really like to learn how to Airbus (specifically the A320 for now). Would anyone care to share their favourite "How to fly an Airbus for Complete Idiots" tutorials?

Haha, yes and I am also not a native-english-speaker and use to make mistakes as well (the whole time lol). Thanks for your comment, you are perfectly right 😊 Jason still don’t get it but…well anyway ✌️

With update 1.0.1, the LU isn't half bad. Worse than Zibo's yes, but this may be due to LevelUp not using (-800 specific) workarounds to overcome some X-Plane quirks.

The EFB includes detailed checklist and VinKaiZen's Xchecklist that is part of the standard download is very (actually way too) detailed as well.
