MSFS2024 Liveries...

Featured Replies

So messing around with the sim today I realized I still had not touched some of the new aircraft.

Part of it is that there are so many, part is that I'm exploring other things, and part, I suddenly realized, is that I just had no interest in flying a commercial aircraft with the dorky fictional liveries Asobo chose to include in the sim.

Is it just me? 😕

Anyway, desperation is the mother of inspiration, and I suddenly remembered flightsim.to

Purchased a premium plan for 3 days and spent an hour or so downloading a zillion liveries, and suddenly I feel completely different about a lot of planes I had been avoiding.

Just throwing it out there. https://flightsim.to/profile/normandyq8/uploads

Thanks for this link! No i's not just you.

Found some nice alternative liveries for the boring looking default A320neo. I don't normally fly the "big jets" but had my Honeycomb throttle set up for "twin jet" so thought I'd take the A320 for a cheeky circuit around LPLA (plenty of runway in case it goes wrong...).

It looks much nicer now. Whether it flies any better is debatable. I'm no Airbus expert.

Do all the MSFS 2020 liveries work in MSFS 2024 without any changes needed?

There is a nice library of liveries for the PMDG 737. I hope when PMDG finally ports the 738 over to MSFS 2024, the 2020 liveries work without any problems for MSFS 2024.

No, not at all. Many liveries don't work at all, and even those that do often show up as their own aircraft if not properly set up.

As far as I know there are no guarantees, so I'm looking for 2024 certified liveries just in case. I keep in mind that asobo has disabled all third party 2020 liveries that I purchased in the store.....

Darn, there are some good PMDG 737 liveries for MSFS 2020. It would be a huge letdown if those liveries aren’t made for MSFS 2024 when PMDG ports the 737 over.

One area i will agree is a total mess, the livery situation.

This and the payload.  Ugh!

Payload? , I don't have any issues with payload on the Fenix aircraft, or the inibuilds for that matter, but i do use Simbrief and Navigraph for all my payload/flight plans

It definitely varies by aircraft.  From what I can see all Fenix liveries ported over, but the INI Builds T-33 was completely rebuilt using the FS24 SDK so unfortunately the plethora of great T Bird liveries available for the FS20 version do not work in FS24.

I also got a .to premium sub today and downloaded a bunch of liveries. Got some nice ones for iniBuilds A330. And quite a few Fenix A32x liveries - some not officially compatible with 2024. I haven't checked all of them yet - but some of them works.
