FC Scenery (sales and permamently low prices)

Featured Replies

Hi again,

noticed that FC Scenery has opened a new website with great deals (the whole EU for 275€ among others). Individual scenery prices have been significantly lowered too.

https://www.fcscenerys.com/

Cheers

Théo

I recently bought a scenery and it was quite good for photoreal but their delivery method needs improvement. You should be able to download from their site what you pay for without having to request it and if you don’t have google drive for whatever reason you have a problem. I will buy more but I would like a less hassle delivery method from them.

That is true, and I agree 100 %. However, we need to remember that FC Scenery is a 1-man project, and we can't expect everything from one living person. P3D is a niche market, and it wouldn't make financial sense to pay for hundreds of terabytes of data on a website. The process is not 100 % hassle-free. With that said, I have always received my links and had flexibility with paying in parts. If not, I wouldn't be promoting his products for free. We can put it this way: without Fernando's effort, P3D would be a dead sim for me.

Hi everyone

Thank you both for the opportunity to test my work, the truth is as Theo says it is difficult, I do everything myself and now the Prepar3D market is not the same as before, so having servers to store everything is unnecessary.
In addition, we opted for Google Drive to keep track of who has the product, at first the link was free and they began to share it, which we do not tolerate piracy and sharing our work between users.

We hope you continue enjoying the work that is done and now we are here at Avsim for any assistance.

Regards.

Thank you FC Scenery for lowering your prices!  I had to do a double take when I happened to recently check out your site yesterday (I haven't had a chance to keep up on simming in a while).  I happen to have a little extra cash to spend on some add-ons, I think I know where I'll be spending my money 😊

@FC Scenery You are a good man, please keep up the great work.  I still can't believe that someone is doing what I thought would never happen, to make the entire P3D world in such beautiful detail.  I know that if anyone has the chance to make photoscenery and custom autogen for the entire planet, it will certainly be you.

I wish you the best of luck as you continue on your mission.

I don't often wade in on product/service review threads but would like to support the above comments, @FC Scenery have been really responsive re purchasing, even had to go out of his way to sort out some Paypal gremlins so I could purchase from New Zealand recently. Re the product itself it has definitely renewed my interest in P3D, especially when flying in regions where there hasn't been much love from other developers. In particular it works super well in barren regions like the middle-east or Africa. The auto-gen is really well done and way more accurate even in areas where other developers do offer add-ons for textures/photo-real/auto-gen.

The only negatives I've noticed is some peculiar night lighting textures, and the odd winter colouring here or there. I've reached out to the developer re this, am waiting on a reply.

He is a blessing for P3D.

Where do you have the winter colouring issues?

I am very tempted to give this a try (P3D5.4). I have all the Orbx products (Germany, Norway, Africa, NZ etc plus TE products), would these all become redundant? What about Orbx global base etc. Can you just layer FC Scenery on top of global base as a few Orbx airports require this?

Not sure whether to buy countries not covered by Orbx got just go with the global package which is probably the more economical way.

Does it play nicely with 3rd party airports?

Would I be right in thinking this would bring an end to flying in winter/snowy landscapes?

The Best thing about FC scenery is that they are giving us an Aisa worth exploring (they even have all of China).  Orbx has given up on even trying to make us an openLC Asia at this point.

I have most of Canada from FCScenery and would like to add one more province. I have sent more than one email back trying to catch the sale price. Never did get a response.
