CTD At KSEA With 572.16

Do you have navigraph subs?. If you do, double check if you updated to AIRAC Cycle 2501 rev.2, from Navigraph Hub. there was an issue with with rev.1 that caused CTD all over with specific airports.

Thank you so much for the info! I updated my Navigraph AIRAC Cycle to 2501 rev2 and I can now load into KSEA!  So now, thinking it was maybe the new  nVidia drivers that were causing this, I am going to reinstall the latest driver and see if that works. If it does I may give the nVidia App another try, because I also swapped in DLDD v310.2.1.0 and it seemed to work.

BTW not sure where this folder is...Thanks.

For Steam it is a usually in:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Microsoft Flight Simulator

Inside this folder you will find the two dlss dll’s that can be swapped out.

Even if you have your sim on a different drive, unless you also installed Steam to a different drive, this is the typical default location.

Excellent! Thanks for the help.FYI, I have 3 files named, just wondering these are the ones (for the 3 DLSS Overrides):

nvngx_dlss

nvngx_dlss.dll

nvngx_dlssg

Uh oh, is it true GFE filters aren't active w/ the new NV driver?  They're all greyed out here and I really l like the Details filter I've used it for years and it's perf for my needs.  Can someone confirm?  If that's the case I'm backing out again!

P.S. KSEA was one of the CTD affected airports, payware and stock.

SN737, you're awesome!!!  I do have a Navigraph sub, and I had not yet updated to AIRAC Cycle 2501 Rev.2.  I got the update and went back to KSEA, and now it loads normally.  Since the CTD started after I got 572.16 I was convinced it was driver related.  But it wasn't, it was the AIRAC update.

I had the same blowup with KSEA and also thought it was the DLSS upgrade that was causing it.  Found Navigraph at rev. 1 and upgraded it.  No more blowups loading KSEA.  Thanks for the suggestion!

Hmmm, not sure what you have there but for MSFS2020 there should only be two files…

nvngx_dlss.dll

nvngx_dlssg.dll

Hover your mouse over these files and it will show you which versions they are. You only place these two files in that one folder. Not anywhere else.

There is a third dlss file doing the rounds that is not used by the sim in any way and should be ignored, nvngx_dlssd.dll. Don’t place this file in your sim.

Thanks Greg. Correction to my original post, I should have posted those 2  file names with the extension "*.dll". I have those 2 files and they are the latest versions from DLSS Swapper, correct me if I am wrong, but they are of file type "Application extension" files.   The other 2 files I see both have file types of "DLSSS File". They are:

nvngx_dlss.dll.dlsss

nvngx_dlssg.dll.dlsss

Are the above files possibly created by the Nvidia App under DLSS Override- Model Presets?

Tom

The files with extension .dlsss are just back up files. When you use DLSS Swapper, it backs up the two original files with this extension name before swapping them. You can safely ignore or even delete those two files as previous versions of the dlss files are available to download (or you can use DLSS Swapper) if you ever want to revert. The sim outright ignores all files with the .dlsss extension. 😉

I had the same problem last night. I fixed it by finding the rogue files in the Community folder and then reloading the Navigraph files.

I wish that l had read this topic before!
