When sirens were outlawed by the po-po, I had to resort to playing cards. The siren was mounted to the front forks and was actived by pulling a chain to allow the driving spindle to touch the front tire. By alternately pulling the chain and then releasing it, we got the rising/falling "wail" effect. Fr.
