That is cool. Sadly I basically fly US and Canada. I guess I have to wait and hope.

agreed. just an example to prove it can work if everything is configured properly. there are also US airports with AI traffic. I am also hoping for Asobo to bring world wide default AI traffic back.

Hmm, i think General aviation = not comercial traffic. So basicly Bizjets fits in that catecory? If you put General aviation as Flight type in flightaware, it will show also bizjet traffic: https://www.flightaware.com/live/

Yes i did also use littlenavmap database with all the airports. If there is no parking spots in airport, there is no traffic. There might be still missing airports. because AIFP did give me like 200 errors "there is no airport data" back in the days (2 years ago) and i just replaces those airports with some russian airport far away, because i didnt want to add all those airports manually inside of AIFP. But allmost every airport is included. Here is the list airport used:

Total of 40.349 airports used. Helipads and sea bases and exluded. Only the 20 biggest airports in every continent exluded from GA traffic.

Gamod trafficplans are repetitive 24/7 in all airports. And there is also  40K a to b  flight (IFR and VFR), 8K a to b hot balloon plans, 12K a to b glider plans and 15K a to b helicopter plans. And those numbers are reduced from 2020 version.

There is worldwide AI traffic pack in MSFS2020, called trafficAircraft.bgl but in MSFS2024 is doesent work yet, because those are pointing to MSFS2020 airplanes and not to MSFS2024 airplanes. And in trafficAircraft.bgl there is only a to b flights. Thats why i made GAMod with a to a flight in every airport.

In theory, you could download all of them from msfs2020 official folder and place them to 2024 community, if you dont want to use native 2024 models with msfs2024.

 

But question is: why? Why not GAmod 2024 with native msfs2024 ai models? Gamod has better amount of traffic with every airport. Stock .bgl wont cover small airfields and have a320 traffic inclided so you would see them also in airports.

because I don't get any or not enough traffic at some airports and some airplanes flicker, i.e. a very quick change from a Cessna into a Diamond Katana. but generally yes, I would prefer to use the new GA aircraft that came with MSFS 2024 premium deluxe.

another issue I have observed for example at 11S (Sekiu) in Washington state: airplane taxies into the forest or take off into terrain because they don't climb enough. I am not sure I have observed that in MSFS 2020.

Ideally, we need a traffic compiler that lets us generate traffic only at 2 specific airports just before we start MSFS 2024, like at A and B, I don't need traffic in russia when I never fly there.

Those are msfs bugs, not gamod related. So those are happening with all the products that are using msfs traffic engine.

There is this bug, where GAmod aircrafts stays parking and not moving. That is caused by MSFS bug but only affect with VFR flights. So i made temp bug fix version of flightplans, where all the flights are IFR. just place GAmod2024-TrafficBugFix to community and remove GAmod2024-Traffic to somewhere safe. Do not delete, because that bug can be fixed.

I read somewhere else that free flight should always be started with the realtime sim cursor set. Then afterward, user can change to whatever time he wants. Is that still the way to go?

You need to find the .bgl. I dont know where is it with store versions.

 

Yes go with live time and change it in the scenery.

I have search my whole PC without success. I don't have this file with my Microsoft Store MSFS2024 version (and now SU3). My last days of test seems to be show GA trafic so GAMod seems to be OK although I don't have edit/remove this file.

I am surprised Corsten doesn't know the path and doesn't include my information in his manual when I explained 1 page before and 4 weeks ago here how you can find the path to your store version installation easily and derive the path to traffic.bgl for the store version from there, very easy via the xbox utility:

"In my case, if you installed to a non-default path (MSFS 2024 store version):

J:\MSFS2024\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Content\Packages\fs-base-ai-traffic\scenery\world\traffic

you can always find your own install path easily via the xbox app, under FILES click BROWSE:"

Thanks. I did check there too. And saw your post in this tread... but my C:\XboxGames\Limitless\Content\Packages\fs-base-ai-traffic\scenery\world is an empty folder 😉 Anyway the mod seems to work... and - for the record - other simmers may have the same setup...

Yes, that is the problemn here. I have spend hours of my time to have information from several store users and everyone seems to have diffrent paths to that traffic folder. And there is even empty ones and there should be other one with the files somewhere else. But happy to hear you have it working.
