how hard is it to revert back to original if this does not work out.

Just take the gamod folders out of Community and re-enable the aircraft traffic bgl. That should put things back to default.

As regards paths for MS Store versions, try:
[installation drive]:\XBoxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Content\Packages\fs-base-ai-traffic\scenery\world\traffic

or in my case, if you installed to a non-default path (MSFS 2024 store version):

J:\MSFS2024\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Content\Packages\fs-base-ai-traffic\scenery\world\traffic

you can always find your own install path easily via the xbox app, under FILES click BROWSE:

@ Corsten: you might want to add this info to your documentation for MS store users

very nice.

Appears to be working great. Smooth performance. Airport Medium, Traffic High seems to be the best for me in my neck of the woods.. So. Calif...

Thanks

I find nothing called AI Traffic or Airport Traffic in MSFS 2024

nobody does, unfortunately Corsten made a few confusing typos in his docs. the original traffic file in question that needs to be deactivated by renaming it to trafficAircraft.bgl.OFF is called trafficAircraft.bgl  as mentioned in the manual, which could do with some better explanations, I admit.

in the global graphics CONFIGURATION section of MSFS 2024 look for airport or air traffic (NOT AI traffic) and change both to OFF and LOW/MEDIUM/ULTRA as described in the doc, I don't remember the exact names, sorry I am not at my pc right now. The same settings need to be adjusted in the VR section for VR users.

I had it working at KAST Astoria for example or 11S Sekiu. but only 2 tiny Diamond aircraft took off, not much considering my ULTRA setting for traffic in MSFS 2024. make sure you have ONLINE traffic set to AI OFFLINE in the MSFS data section I think it is called, where you select Multiplayer or ONLINE real world traffic. you might also try with a completely empy COMMUNITY, except for the 2-4 GAmod directories. (I copied only the traffic and GA aircraft there, no ballons nor military)

"My canadian airport so far is zero anything"

which one? I could try that later for you.

holy cow. ol found the airport traffic setting.

All settings that have to be off for BATC to work.

That is a bummer

Waiting to see traffic move.

i don't have that yet. does it generate airliner traffic only? if so, it will probably generate traffic only at bigger airports? please report how that works for you in combination with GAmod.

I am probably setting something wrong, but I have not seen one plane in the sky. Lots sitting at the airport, but nothing else happening.

Tried my home airport CYHU and Long beach to make sure.

you can use LittleNavMap to watch out for traffic. they will only spawn from airports with green parking spots. I always slew my aircraft away from the runways so I don't obstruct them.

So ... without me resorting to reinstalling GAMod ... can anyone tell me if GAMod can be used simultaneously with BATC?

your settings may not be wrong. I don't show any traffic at those 2 airports either. I think GAmod is not here for prime time yet.  LittleNavMap shows 83.000 airports in the MSFS 2024 database, which according to Corsten he is using. I am not convinced there is AI traffic at even 50% of those. even if we leave out the mayor 4.000 US airports which according to him he deliberately excluded because this is "GA"mod 😁

while his docs say "and allmost every airport is included. I was able to exlude worlds airports icao´s from littlenavmap and made 5 flightplans to every single airport that I could just do."

5 flight plans wouldn't be enough to cover a whole day, unless they are repetitive, say 5 aircraft within every 10 minutes, 24/7

not Canada or USA, try LFPG Paris in France. it took a few minutes to populate the airport, but then there were lots of aircraft on the ground and several taking off and landing:

Those don't totally look like GA aircraft. It looks like small business jets mostly.
