So my problem is I have a receipt for KPDX for MS2024 and it says, quote:

Comtrail is demanding a serial to deliver my V2.  Don’t have one.  Can you help?

If don't need a serial number, if you purchased v1 just purchased V2 as you would normally. In the payment page enter the promo code KPDX-V2 I believe. And press enter and your discount will be applied. Then purchase and install. I installed my v2 in addon linker folder, then activated it for both sims.

If it was me, I would have located the order on my MS account. Then I would have sent Bill a personal e-mail.

I avoid Discord and have always tried to build a relationship with the developer. The sad part is that the devs make very little for their hard work and on top of that, Bill is offering 50% off a new release to his V1 customers.

Really great scenery, terminal is awesome. Every thing is made to a high standard.  My only complaints are: no grass anywhere on the field (I assume this is because bill used a vegetation cull polygon over the entire area, MSFS doesn't distinguish between grass and trees)

no runway distance markers (I'll e-mail him about that) and the airport always looks like its the end of summer (considering Portland is covered in clouds 80% of the time this is somewhat understandable). Also the I-205 bridge where it mates to the shore is a bit wonky looking.

for 10 bucks upgrade it's a hell of a scenery.

This is really sad. Especially since iniBuilds and Contrail offer a transfer from the Marketplace with screenshots as proof. You can transfer almost anything there, but no KPDX. I'm certainly not going to buy it full price.

That's why I stay away from the marketplace if all possible. It really sucks because they won't give you a itemize receipt of what you purchased. They only supply a cryptic invoice that no one can make heads or tails of. I always try to stick with the developer website.

It's a meme 'thing' in portland over the last year or so about 'cones' - blew up on Reddit awhile ago.  If you're from the area you probably know about it.  I am sure it is a minor mistake - but for me I got quite a laugh from seeing it.  "Didn't you see my f......en cones" lol

The river still shows the black lines and the bridges to the west are still not fixed so the approach doesn't look as good as it could, but the airport is worth the upgrade price.

 

Curious, what bridges to the west?  Are you talking about the ones all the way into downtown? - those are miles away.  The bridges over the Columbia (immediate vicinity) are North and South.

The ones in the city have been fixed by a freeware.

I though I had a scenery conflict, but I don't, there is no grass in MSFS 2020. I emailed bill about the grass and the runway markers, hopefully he is receptive.

Man these approaches look really bad.  I was hoping Bill would do this, but it seems it's up to the community again. None of the current Portland tree and water fixes are very high quality so I decided I had nothing better to do on a lazy Saturday.  Will include all of Columbia river and Willamete River from Oregon City to Sauvie Island and back down to Troutdale as well as some de treeing in downtown and popular areas. I tried some other sceneries but they are just not up to my standard for detreeing and dewatering.  There is one scenery I won't name but there are still trees all over the bridges.  Come on people if you going to do this, do it thoroughly and pay attention to the details.  I'll put it up on flightsim.to tonight. MSFS2020 only.

Yeah, notice this everywhere in both sims.

No change of doing this to 2024, I take it?  Would be amazing though. Thanks for doing this for those that still regulary use 2020 at least.

Depends on the demand. Right now in 24 I'm doing Tucson Arizona to get rid of all the water that doesn't exist in real life and then Phoenix.  Then Portland.  I make a lot of these for myself that I never release so I don't have to go through the pain of uploading to flightsim.to.  I was hoping we wouldn't have to do this in anymore once MSFS 2024 came out... sigh.

Can anyone comment / post screenshots on the quality of the GA areas?  Esp interested on degree of modeling of the Atlantic area - looks very nice IRL photos.  In sim fly med / large GA there as much as tubeliners.
