April 5, 20251 yr Dunno if this was posted here but pretty cool way to do this and will be very useful. I've been set on all Ultra but it's very easy for me to see I can dial back several parameters and not see a deterioration in visual quality and even detail and even better looking in terms of more realistic at lower demand settings. And some others that can be kept on Ultra with little to no cost. It would have been nice to see this done with a 4000 or 5000 series GPU but it's still meaningful for sure. April 5, 20251 yr Cool video. Or useful I should say. Lately I’ve reduced settings from ultra as the difference with some settings is not that big, visually. Some settings impact performance more than others - ray traced shadows and trees in particular. The latest version of AutoFPS has a new feature where various settings can be reduced when performance is tight - I’ve found this very useful when flying airliners into the largest airports with ATC addons and AI traffic. April 5, 20251 yr The latest 2024 (dot 10) BETA improves performance, graphics scenery stability, and it fixes the stutters right when you are very close to touchdown at a large airport. The new EV slider cures the washed out distance views by darkening light and increasing contrast. And Nvidia Control Panel Color Settings Gamma slider cures the "eye adoption" darkening of the cockpit panel. The increased performance improves my PCL tracking stability a lot. April 5, 20251 yr How’s the native frame gen working out in the latest beta? I haven’t got much time for simming currently and not looking for beta stress😅 i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
April 6, 20251 yr I think it's working pretty well for me so far. Seems to smooth the image panning out a bit. Edited April 6, 20251 yr by Purr AMD 5830X Nvidia RTX 3060 Win 11
April 6, 20251 yr It works well in latest BETA. However, for smoother flight under stress (e.g. approaching landings at detailed airports), it is best to not be using native FG. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. April 6, 20251 yr Got a mid range system. But dropped texture resolution down to medium helps performance drastically on my end. Edited April 6, 20251 yr by jwhak
April 6, 20251 yr i have got my texture reso at low , but my 16 GB of wram is allmost saturated on some little planes, some heavies it isnt so, i am just wondering why? i just changged my graphics card to 9070 from 4070 super and got better iq and afmf working also. Should i delete some caches? Edited April 6, 20251 yr by tmholopa
April 6, 20251 yr Yes been posted at least twice here it's a good guide I use it. Sim runs over 100fps for me.
April 6, 20251 yr Author The video I linked above covers Texture Super Sampling which I set at 8x in 2020, but that setting is missing in 2024. Is it for you as well???
