On steam there is a 2020 Beta Sim_update_15 in the drop down? What is that? What does it do? I guess I missed something?

Yes 2020 is blazing for me right now. By far the best at least on my machine.

Ditto...  It's the best it has ever been over here as well.  I know everyone says no but I could swear that there have been server side changes and things have improved in certain aspects of 2020. 

Night lighting, texture draw distance, some bing textures in places, DEM data all look like they have been updated to me over the past few months.

Glad to hear that, I was thinking the same thing but thought maybe it was because I was so disappointed with 2024. Too many things to list and people will get their feelings hurt. I do hope there is a path to 2024 but for me and my little 3080 I am not going. I have it loaded and test every once in while but the frustration is just not worth it. I do not have enough time in the day.

If that is true, I really wish that they would update the terrain textures in the Netherlands. Maybe I could start using EHLE Lelystad again if they get rid of those ridiculous lime green textures. Oh, and bring England's "green and pleasant land" back instead of that Saharan dust bowl.

It's been like this since I was in the Beta 15, the name of the startup file was never changed.

If it’s the first time, you may be running into the Xbox services issue that’s going on right now .. but that should fix itself soon

I don't think textures were updated. There's still the hideous green textures around, in fact around KORD it's all green where as in 2024 it's fixed. That said, I can fly on ultra settings and TLOD 400 and not drop a single FPS.
