My guess is that the 2024 models have multiple LODs and use less memory (which is good for memory limited systems..), but they look worse than the 2020 originals, and in some cases have quality problems, as if they were finished in a hurry and never got the TLC that other aircraft get.. April 21, 20251 yr Author Well, no way for me with the 350i 😞 Unfortunately whatever I do, it never becomes available as an aircraft choice. The only 350i that is listed is always that useless FS 2024 Beechcarft 350i ... Thank you guys any way for your suggestions !!! April 22, 20251 yr Author Exactly! But the 350i I see is always the streamed FS 2024 from FS 2024 Standard🫤 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

But the 350i I see is always the streamed FS 2024 from FS 2024 Standard🫤 You can disable that copy/version either from the "my library" (or whatever it's called, not got my simpc on as I type this) or via the "content.xml" file. Sometimes you have to do it the second way as Asobo doesn't seem to give the option to disable some stuff via the library option. If you use Addons Linker there is an option in there to edit the content.xml which is probably the easiest way to do that. Then just plonk the 2020 aircraft file into the 2024 community folder, along with any repaints you want for it. Again, easiest to do if you use the AL. I am quite happily, well - relatively sanguinely at least, running the 2020 version and the Black Square addon in 2024 now. Now that I'm used to it I really like the whole "enable/disable" thing via the library. Good to be able to add or remove aircraft without restarting the sim. Now if they would just get together with Bad_T and link that feature up to the AL so that we could do that with all the non-marketplace addons, things would begin to look really fine! Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used
April 24, 20251 yr Author Precious contributions from all of you guys! Thank you all so much! Will give it a new try as soon as I get sim slot time, and my cat doesn't stand on my rudder, canceling any flight plans - CAT NOTAMs... 🤣 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
April 24, 20251 yr Author Just a THUMBS UP! Used the "Content.xml" editing method and it worked great ! I finally have a decent Kingair 350i in FS 2024 😍 Here's how I did it, since I no longer have FS 2020 installed (for quite a while...): .) Used the folder from the original FS 2020 Kingair ( big thx to @Bert Pieke ) and placed it in the FS 2024 Community folder; .) Downloaded from flightsim.to the two of the links that @salasnet kindly provided here: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/669277-default-beech-350i/#findComment-5439331 namely the G1000 cockpit conversion and the FlightDynamics mod by "JayDee", and placed the two folder from those zip files also in the Community folder, ending up with 3 folders there: - asobo-aircraft-kingair350 - husk-g1000kingair - ZZ JD King Air - 07 Flight Model 2.0 1.29.3 BETA .) Edited the "Content.xml" file under "C:\Users\<my users>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache", using NOTEPAD, searched for the "Kingair350" entry and changed : <Package name="fs20-asobo-aircraft-kingair350" active="Activated"/> to <Package name="fs20-asobo-aircraft-kingair350" active="SystemDisabled"/> Et voilà ! When I started MSFS 2024 the FS 2020 with the two MODs was available !!!
