Anyone using Moza Yoke or Stick?

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I realise that this is technically a hardware question, however has anyone used the Moza yoke or stick in MS2024?

I am seriously considering upgrading to them. I’m wondering about anyone’s experience? I have seen a lot of YouTube videos on them but wondering if anyone has gone through purchasing them? I’m UK based so would be great to know if anyone else UK based has had any issues getting them delivered here? What’s the typical wait time? Do we need to pay import fees etc? I’m guessing the Global site is for us in the UK? (Prices are in GBP)

Thanks in advance!

I have the Moza Force feedback base and Hotas stick and they work great in 2024.   I purchased mine back in January and delivery was within a couple of weeks without issue to the USA.  The software gets updated often and does have one hitch with 2024 which is to launch the Telemetry batch file once 2024 is running.  I'm hopeful that will be fixed soon but for now its fine to launch manually.

Thanks for that Tony! I thought they were actually US based. Are they sent out from China or somewhere? They do look fantastic and a big step up from my Honeycomb yoke. My current stick is a VKB, not sure if that stick is compatible. Do you use the Moza stick with it?

Anthony Milner

Yeah I have the Moza stick - their base is compatible with others but since I was dropping a ton of cash on the base I figured to get the Hotas too.  I also play DCS and it’s amazing for that title too.

I purchased everything from their website and yes,  I believe it came from China.   Check the website for compatibility as I know other sticks will work.  I had an old TM Warthog and that worked on the Moza base too.  The Moza stick is solid and well built - plenty of reviews on YT.

good luck

I purchased mine from https://www.racesim.uk/ who are UK based, Prices same as the Moza site, no shipping cost and guaranteed no import duty.

They provided a good service and quick delivery.

System 2: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D @ 5.7GHz, 2 x 32GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 RAM, ASUS ROG ASTRAL RTX5090 OC, 2 x 4TB Lexar NM790 M.2 PCIe 4.0, Crucial T705 2TB Gen5 M.2, Samsung 840 Pro SSD 1TB, Moza AB9 with Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Flight Stick, Winwing Orion Rudder Pedals, Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Throttle Quadrant.

Should also mention the AB9 works remarkably well especially for helicopter cyclic. The ability to set a cantering spring or no spring is great. Since I also have a Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog I just put the Warthog stick onto the AB9, works without any issues.

I got the AB9 base for use in MSFS2020 and I love it. The latest firmware and software is providing a lot of options and for me it has been pretty solid.

I came from a VKB Gunfighter with space combat grip which I love for desktop use but opted for a 2nd had Virpil Alpha stick from CEX to pair with the Moza base. I'm looking to sell the VKB as I won't be going back.

I bought my Moza base from Abruzzi here in the UK and got it next day without any additional costs.

Thanks for all the info chaps! I’ll check out the other sites mentioned as well. I think the abruzzi site had the yoke on back order, so could be a delay on it. Will revisit once I get the new rig sorted.

Getting a custom built pc from my usual place is proving to be less fun than it used to be! Last time the guy built it with me over the phone and recommended parts etc…this time nope! You have to email, it takes too long to do it over the phone! You’d think they don’t want the sale! Haha!

What PC spec are you going for?

I’m going a bit silly, but I do only upgrade every 8 years or so!

AMD 9800x3d

Nvidia 5090

96 GB RAM

8 TB m2

8 TB SSD

Liquid Cooler for the CPU.

I spoke to the company, I’ve used them for 20 years, they said demand was so high at the moment so 14 days to get a quote. It’s ok - I’ve been planning the new build for a year or so. A couple of weeks more is fine, hoping the build time isn’t much longer than 10 days or so.

They had the screen I was eyeing up on special so I bought that separately yesterday (MSI QD-OLED 32 inch, 4K 240 hz) I know I could have gone bigger but I’m on a 27 inch at the moment so still a step up. And it OLED with a high refresh rate so should look awesome!

That will certainly do the trick but to be honest, I find even 64GB is overkill at the moment.

Yeah a buddy of mine was saying the same, I’m currently on an old 8700 k, 32 GB RAM and a 3090.

I figured the cost of RAM is fairly reasonable (especially when compared with current GPU prices) so why not 3 x my current amount.

Storage wise I’ve also gone hard, but currently I struggle on having more than DCS and MSFS on my 3 TB storage so thought I may as well get so much that I won’t have to constantly have to choose which maps to keep on DCS.

I want to get a couple more but just don’t have the space for them!

  • 3 months later...

I got mine yesterday (took a month to arrive).  I just hooked it up tonight but haven't configured it for the sim yet.  Seems like a pretty solid piece of equipment.  One thing is that it only has 3 aircraft profiles...777, 737 and c172.  I hope they make more or that folks will start uploading profiles to flightsim.to.

Have you been on their Discord, there are a few general profiles for various types as well as a very good one for the A320 specifically. Might want to check it out if you have not.
