MSFS 24 SU2 released

I’m now getting another problem. Missing airport buildings on arrival.
I took off from FSDT going to default ATL. All airport ground textures were fine but none of the airport buildings loaded in.

On another flight I took off from ATL going to EWR. If I use Drzewiecki EWR, the sim will crash as I fly outbound from PATRN to TEB. Using default EWR, I can land but again, no airport buildings.

I monitored my VRAM and the closets to the limit the 4090 reached was 1.4 GB. Typically on those flights I had 4.2 GB free. I’ve tried lowering settings, but the crashing and landing with no buildings still occurs.

Has anyone else heard of this issue?

  • You're not, we are the silent majority who are happily flying instead of complaining in the forums, so it seems we are just a few.

Being part of the SU2 beta was not a negative experience for me.  From day one through two thirds of the beta I couldn't run SU2 successfully for more than a minute.  Often the sim would crash before

It's funny reading the thread since I've already been on the beta hehe. I submitted quite a few bugs and I know others have to. SU2 is a good step in the right direction for msfs 2024.  It's

that stinks.

very nice.

Having the same issue with VRAM in SU2 that I didn't in SU1, I know I have a low end system with a 58003xd and a 8gb 3060Ti but I run my set up accordingly at 1080p. Before SU2 it was pretty good but with persistent minor stutters on landing until shutdown at the gate. Now I get the CTDs and stutters that are actually screen freezes. I've been using '24 since launch and have appreciated the (what I consider) better visuals, clouds etc. But SU2 has created a real usability problem for me that didn't exist before it. Fingers crossed ASOBO continue to look into it or come back to the issue soon. Its encouraging (in a twisted way, sorry) to see others with much more capable GPUs having the same experience.

Same. Only occasionally but consistently. Sound stutters then sim freezes. And usually ends in a CTD. But also had cases where I had to terminate through task manager. Was flying Fenix and I know it’s a beta. So I am quite relaxed and wait for the next build

i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

Yeah, my next move is to wait until Fenix release their Big Update or PMDG the B77W and take it from there.
