Anyone else notice that the PMDG 737 totally killed now with the latest SU?

I know it was far from perfect but it was usable but now it's completely dead.

Trying to check that I'm not the only one?

Works for me. But that's in the context of hot start on runway. It takes off, climbs, flies, banks, descends and lands perfectly fine for me. But then I don't bother with any of the switches or dials or flight plans and all that stuff.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Being part of the SU2 beta was not a negative experience for me.  From day one through two thirds of the beta I couldn't run SU2 successfully for more than a minute.  Often the sim would crash before

It's funny reading the thread since I've already been on the beta hehe. I submitted quite a few bugs and I know others have to. SU2 is a good step in the right direction for msfs 2024.  It's

I think a lot are not using the Beta's as they should. It's solely used to test the software for bugs and issues Period! If you're  treating it as some freebie update, your in for a surprise!!

SU2 is not a beta though.

Installed SU2 in a few minutes. Was impressed. Elected to do the Brisbane precision landing because this challenge has been broken fopr months. 40 minutes later I finally get the bird in the air. The sim was slow and laggy.

They drop you on a 10 mile final in IMC, the plane is in a stall, no ILS, no autopilot, and both engines are flamed out. The A320 has no livery. Is this all a bug or is this the objective????

Anyways, I light the engines, configure the plane for landing and saved all 140 passengers. Was very happy to try this challenge finally!!!!

Why can't they to address the stutter just before touchdown? Such an immersion killer if your FPS just tanks on touchdown.
Even with a lot of headroom it's always noticable.

Enable FG keeping your FPS locked and your GPU temp will go down a lot (consumption too).

Thank you. Nothing to do with FG, but Oddly I opened the sim just to try setting up my controls, no flying, it took a good 30 minutes and my graphics card temps were at about 84c the entire time. Not using as much memory, but just in controls menu! At 1440p! 2024 is an odd one. Temps while flying in 2020 at 4k-ultra run about 72c. Not uninstalling 2024 but not going to use.

Hi all
Sadly for me MSFS2024 went from a totally enjoyable experience in Sim update 1, to a frustrating stutter blurry mess in SU2.

I updated the Nvidia drivers etc cleared the shade files etc with no improvement. I am even getting big parts of the ocean with no textures just black squares and triangles.

At first I thought something must be wrong with my PC so I went back to MSFS 2020 and it is working fine.

Hopefully Microsoft will provide a solution shortly? My PC is a I9 with a Nvidia 4090 and 32 gig of ram which ran SU1 perfectly and still runs MSFS 2020 perfectly so I don’t think the problem is on my end.

Best wishes.

I would do a clean install of the driver, or install a different driver version.

If that didn't fix it then I'd re-install MSFS2024.

Yup. Same. SU2 is not the beta we had at all. Complete garbage update.

AutoFPS improved that for me quite considerably.  The in game version (can't remember what it's called) is nowhere near as effective.

I normally fly with LOD 200 dropping it to 100 500 feet AGL though I have dropped it down to 75 on occasions using system heavy big airports.

You can also use it to lower your object LOD and clouds LOD if necessary.

Another kudos for the EV Exposure setting.  Does the job for me.

Also 170 fps on a 3060TI.  I can't stop laughing. 🙂

Ahh...I wonder if that's got anything to do with this stutters on approach business?

I haven't suffered with these stutters at all but I switched that setting off in game five months ago as it's a good idea badly implemented.

AutoFPS is definitely the way to go.

I actually have the same experience. No troubles at all during SU1. After updating to SU2 nothing works anymore. Msfs2024 ist constantly freezing, either during loading screen or when I press the start button or on the free flight world map. I am just freezing. It must be winter 😞

Great performance on my old PC even with the A350.

Also stunning default YSSY combined with ORBX Sydney Cityscape (A2A Comanche 250)
