ANd indeed I did get worst performance when I enabled SMT... Reverted back to "normal mode" 🙂 and the 6 cores do their job very well ... But of course you are. I had a 7600x and it was awesome. I had a great opportunity (my Dad!) to get a 7800x3D for cheap so i upgraded but otherwise i wouldn't even consider it. The performance between the 7600x and the 7800x3D is not very noticeable, only if you look a bit deeper at the frame rate here and there and in some "heavier" airports maybe. But the moment I fly into one of my payware addons (typically a 2020 addon), my 4080's vram is just maxed without warning (I guess I get that annoying popup hehe)... of course this introduces lots of heavy stutters and I think is what eventually leads to CTDs. I also see the whacky cargo straps/seatbelts bug again (where they show outside of the plane) Additionally, dynamic registration is mostly working, but sometimes even the default aircraft show white boxes over the reg, or the reg itself comes and goes as you pan around the planes. Seems like a LOD issue imo. If you look at the 2024 beta forums, there are quite a few posts about CTD's since su3 beta was released. At first I thought it was due to community addons but I've run without and I still am having CTDs. But being a beta, these things happen, I'm sure it will get worked out! Just had my third CTD with SU3 beta. Each time, it was about an hour into a flight. I don't remember having any with the SU2 beta. I might back out of this beta for a while. MSFS and MSFS2024 support it and there's no benefit at all to disable it - Actually the exact opposite. This is specially true for nVidia cards and i would point it to a bad driver version more than an actual issue with the hardware. Some older or poorly optimized games may experience lower performance or instability with Resizable BAR enabled. They were not designed with this feature in mind, and the broader memory access might not be handled well. Also, if you're CPU-limited, Resizable BAR might not help and could even cause minor stutters in certain games due to additional overhead or scheduling issues. All the other cases benefit. Well, for the 5000-series cards, ReBar isn't working correctly with MSFS 2024. This is likely due to the drivers, because with ReBar enabled, my VRAM usage is averaging 15 GB in most scenarios. With it disabled, I'm averaging 11 GB. I also get fewer stutters and higher FPS with it disabled.
