MSFS2024 is starting to frustrate me

I wonder if we have to export for each aircraft configuration or does it export all of my aircraft. For example I have a specific controls for my A350 which are different from my 777 for my throttle quadrant. Say I’m on the A350 when I export, does it cover the 777 and all of my throttle profiles or just the one for the A350? What about export under general controls, airplane controls and specific. Asobo hasn’t gone into any details on how this new export works,

Good point. It looks like you export per profile. There is a a folder in the root structure with all the profiles.

You can back up all profiles manually by copying the profiles folder or by using a tool. I did try to use the tool but it made my virus scanner loses its mind when I went to install it.

  • Asobo doesn't seem to pay much attention to beta testers' input.

  • It looks like in SU2 you can export your controller settings to a local file, and then import them if needed. Al

Same!! But it will get better. They are on it. For giggles, I fired up 2020. It is awful now that I have been spoiled by 2024. The flight physics of 2020 are pretty bad. I was flying the PMDG 737-800 in MSFS 2020 and it just floated and floated down the runway. I finally touched down at 90 knots with flaps at 30 degrees. That's totally unrealistic. I am never ever going to use 2020 again. Time to delete it.

If you are floating down the runway in the PMDG 737 in MSFS 2020, then that is a user problem, and not the fault of the aircraft. I have absolutely zero problems with floating when landing my PMDG 737-600.

I am just not use to flying the MSFS 2020 way I guess. It is not realistic. As you know 2024 got rid of the overexaggerated ground effects in 2020. A 737 flying well at 90 knots is not a user issue. And  at that speed there was no rudder or aileron authority. Maybe 2020 was messed up that day.

Here is a typical landing of mine in the 737-800 PMDG in 2020 when it was working well and when I was use to it.

TBH I've had no issues now for 4.8y in 2020 and 2.5 months in 2024 with controller settings until....I installed ChasePlane for 2020, after which bad things happened.  It was arguably my bad for not making the correct choices when presented with options.   And I still don't understand a few important things about it.  So right now I've lost mouse panning and zooming in 2020.  And I've not figured out how to restore it.  I did post a thread here asking for anyone to take a screen shot of the Camera menu for Cockpit and External for the mouse so I could try duplicating theirs.  No replies yet after 116 views...

I didn’t see your request. I’ll post pics later.

Thanks but not a hint about how to get the mouse back in charge of pan and zoom in the cockpit and external camera

The good news is that there is nothing wrong with the MSFS2020 or the PMDG in this case. It's just a user operating error; I strongly suggest following a tutorial from start to end, and all your problems will go away.

Sorry to say, but watching the video, there is a lot of space for improvement, nothing to worry about, just practice a good tutorial.

Yes, agreed. That's why I record every flight. To review the mistakes. That video was from 10 months ago when I just got MSFS 2020. My 4th flight on the PMDG and 10 hours on the sim. Plus a logitech yoke with a defective aileron pot. Thanks for taking a look. My point is that that time the plane didn't float down the runway at 90 knots.

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, I can say that I live the dream, in a few months I have to "wake up", retirement is around the corner. Hopefully, I can find another flying job to keep myself busy. Don't give up this hobby, just practice, even in real life, we make mistakes and learn every flight.

I expect you have to back up each profile separately, and make sure each profile that's different has a unique name.
