May 26, 20251 yr I purchased Global Forests v2 from Orbx today but I don't even have Orbx Central installed. Plan to do it during this week, but since I use SimHeaven X-World sceneries I would appreciate any hints on how to set it up for compatibility. 1) How can I make the SimHeaven Vegetation Library work together with Orbx Global Forests v2? 2) What about if I also use "Enhanced Scenery Pro"? 3) And should I untick or keep selected "3d trees" in Xp12 options? Any performance fine tuning hints welcome too !!! Thx !!! May 26, 20251 yr They have their own forum for global forests. In the support sub-forum is a thread on proper layering: https://www.global-forests.com/forum/global-forests-v2-support You need to register to access the forum. I have "enable 3D vegetation" checked in the graphics settings section. Can't help with Enhanced Scenery Pro, as I don't use it. I have "vegetation density" slider set on High, because my system is bottom tier, and it works well, no noticeable performance degradation. Your system should be able to cope with Max, but you should test and see which offers best results. Overall, I really like the combination of SimHeaven X-World & Global Forests v2. Hope this helps. Moreover in the "scenery_packs.ini" place the GF layer between the SimHeaven vegetation layer and the other SimHeaven layers. ..... May 26, 20251 yr I'm seriously contemplating getting X-Plane 12, but I'm totally not looking forward to all this hassle to make the sim look good... Cheers, Bert AMD Ryzen 5900X, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3080 Ti, Windows 11 Home 64 bit, MSFS 2024

There isn't much hassle. Install... 1. XP12 2. Global Forests (Orbx Central) 3. SimHeaven. Do This to get global Forests and SimHeaven working together 4. LiveTraffic If you want to see live traffic (RealTraffic to feed traffic to LiveTraffic Plugin recommended)As a long time MSFS 2020/2024 user, there is a transition to see the best XP12 has to offer. There are elements in XP12 that look better in MSFS, but if you have the patience to go through this transition to the XP12 way of showing you the world, you will appreciate just how fantastic the XP world as a whole looks. 5. If you want Satellite imagery you will need AutoOrtho or the XP version of the Map Enhancement Tool - I use this and found it easy to setup. May 26, 20251 yr I'd also add autoortho into that mix above, and you should be good to go. Just be sure that Global Forests is on the top of the scenery.ini file, or above SimHeaven and libraries. 2. Not sure what that is? I use Xplane Map Enhancement (Pro version), and Global Forest v2 is actually meant to be used with ortho imagery. 3. I have 3d trees disabled in the options, works fine.
