For now I wholeheartedly recommend disabling PG/TIN.

This is good advice. I should try this.

In "regular" TIN areas it only seems to help a little but if you fly the 2024 advanced TIN areas (like the new city updates such as Denver) or the fancy areas like Grand Canyon, French alps etc.... those just destroy my RAM and VRAM.

DX12 beta in 2020 wasn't great...and also used a ton of vram... but they need to do something.  People with RTX 4080s and 90s are having issues....

Interesting because my KDEN addon doesn't get the message.

Could it be the tools devs are using or newer TIN data?

I think some dev's are using 2020 models (with no LOD's) and that eats vram.

I disabled RealWorldScenery's KSTLv3 and vram usage is back to normal at KSTL.   Enabled it again...I can maxx out 24 gigs of vram.   Still, I think it's a combination...there is a bug in the way the sim is handling vram, but then there are also a lot of 2020 SDK models floating around too.

Back in the old main frame days, we had a saying, "Software sells hardware!"  Apparently the saying is still true.

MS Built a sim that would not need special hardware to run, that was the aim.
