MKStudios LPPT Bug - Big shadow ahead the runway

Featured Replies

I have MKStudios LPPT for Prepar3D v4. When I arrive LPPT from North (INBOM, XAMAX etc... arrivals), when i pass by the airport, a big shadow's airport taxiway appears standing up (as shown in the attached image). I just have reinstalled the product, but the issue continues....

Anyone knows what it can be?

Wow, that is weird.  I have this airport as well, but using V5.  I don't have this issue.

Same here,  I also have this airport (P3Dv5) and no problems.

Have you tried uninstalling and ensuring that the scenery is completely removed before reinstalling?

I've never seen that at LPPT, but when I have encountered it elsewhere it was a graphics driver issue.

Affirmate, I've reinstalled with Revo and Iobit (the scenery and the simulator!) and the problem continues....

Try to delete your shader cache.

I've just tried, deleting Shaders cache folders and reload shaders on the simulator, and don't solve the issue....

I updated now my Nvidia graphics driver, and the issue persists .... Do you have any suggestions for me?

Huh? I’ve never heard of those. Each scenery package usually comes with its own uninstall program. Why touch the simulator when the problem is associated with a single airport. Sone clarification is needed here.

What components do you have? CPU, GPU etc.? How are you uninstalling the graphics drivers? DDU and NVCleanstall are highly recommended.

There are two programs for uninstalling applications and cleaning the registries.

I uninstalled the simulator out of desperation....

I used the NVIDIA app to update the drivers. How can I use these apps to solve these issues?

I’m not aware scenery packages write to the registry.

Did you check that the default LPPT was okay before doing that? It seems an unnecessary action.

I’m not familiar with AMD CPUs but LPPT isn’t particularly heavy on fps.

DDU is highly recommended to uninstall old Nvidia drivers. NVCleanstall installs just the driver and nothing else.

If you use Lorby’s Addon Organizer make sure you place LPPT at the top of your addon listing. Try again and report back.

I have according to Simmarket Version 1.32 of the scenery. This number ist for the P3D4 and the P3D5 version. In the description of the 1.32 version is written: "SODE error in V5 fixed (require V4 reinstallation)". I don't understand, what MK wants to say with this, but ground effects are often produced with the help of SODE and what we see is a ground effect going vertical instead of horizontal. So maybe you have an old version of SODE or an old version of the scenery. So check this.

OS=WIN11 Home, Sim=P3D5 5.3 (P3D4 and FSX for install reasons)
Addons=ORBX, ASCA, AS, TOGA and tons of sceneries, aircraft

GPU=KFA2 RTX3090 24 GB, RAM=64 GB DDR5-5600, HOTAS=Logitech G Saitek X52 Pro

Good point @blaunarwal. I’m running v1.71 of SODE. 1.8 doesn’t work properly with P3D.

Well, I run SODE 1.8 and do not have problems with it. I heard about these problems but after reinstalling 1.8 never had any issues.

My memory is a little vague but it involved jetways I think. I’m running 5.3HF2, not 5.4 in case that’s a factor.
