July 9, 2025Jul 9 When I first installed 2024 on my new machine, everything worked fine, flawless flights. Was flying around in the PMDG 777-200/300 all fine. Now I'm getting this unusual CTD (well it's not even to desktop). Just tried to complete a EGLL - CYVR in the PMDG 777 (FSDT CYVR and iniBuilds EGLL). Default weather. I left my flight with about four hours to go, went to run some errands. Came home and I could still hear the interior of the flight deck BUT all the lights inside my PC tower had switched off, the monitor was not receiving any signal, but the fans in the tower were still all running. This has now happened a few times. Can anyone help? July 9, 2025Jul 9 You have some type of problem with your PC, assuming you are not overheating your CPU or GPU. First make sure your CPU, GPU, or other component didn't overheat. You left for several hours, so you can't even confirm whether it did or didn't overheat. If you can rule out that your CPU and GPU aren't overheating, then there is probably some other issue with your computer. Since your computer is 6 weeks old, see if you can reproduce the problem, or at least record the video of your computer when it happens, and use your warranty. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

I'm not sure how to even go about checking temps, benchmark etc. Sleep settings are switched off. July 9, 2025Jul 9 Yes, points to a hardware issue (cooling or power are most likely). Here's a decent video on how to deal with this 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
July 10, 2025Jul 10 Just a thought, MSFS24 can react to overclocks, and from my experience even an undervolted GPU, was your PC supplied already overclocked ?
