Scotflight freeware scenery for all the airports installed. The islander I went in G-BLNI had very nice analogue engine instrument and a couple of GTN 650s I think they were. I set the same power setting of 23/23 for cruise I saw in the real Islander, that was doing about 95kts, the black box version about 120kts so yes very overpowered. I've recreated my flight now in the original 2020 version so I'll leave it at that I think and not bother with the upgrade, I enjoyed it though, but maybe take the cessna caravan next time. Good catch, and I did find it. But I have the PMS version and their patch is for the TDS one - thanks! Rick Abshier 5900X | RTX 5070 Ti OC| 64 GB@3600 | India Pale Ale

May 6May 6 Hi, did someone try to use GTN patch for the 2024 version? On my end, the patch install a BN-2 Turbo Prop folder, but without a manifest.json. Therefore, the Turbo Prop Version does not show up and neither does the option for the GTN. I tried reinstalls, downloads without anti virus, but the patch never creates a manifest.json. Regards Gunter Schneider
May 6May 6 After owning the Islander and the Trislander in 2000 and the Islander in 2024, I've finally stopped flying their planes. The lack of quality, the ignoring of customer requests, and the very few updates and patches make other vendors look much better. Rick Abshier 5900X | RTX 5070 Ti OC| 64 GB@3600 | India Pale Ale

I've had the same problem, it doesn't work. As Ricka47 said, I've given up on them.
May 7May 7 Yes. The 2024 version has not been well received, with some people saying it is not as good as the 2020 version even. I used to like BlackBox as they were always prepared to have a go at aircraft others wouldn't, like the Bulldog and shorts 330/360 etc., but they just don't keep up with the sim and general customer expectations. Obviously, I don't expect miracles from them, but they just seem to come up short. Edited May 7May 7 by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. May 7May 7 Yes it’s a shame really because their choice of aircraft, Islander, trilander, SD360 and twin pioneer are all things I like. 787 captain. Previously 24 years on 747-400.Technical advisor on PMDG 747 legacy versions QOTS 1 , FS9 and Aerowinx PS1.

It is indeed a shame; those are all fun aircraft, and I did like the Islander and the Trislander much better in 2020. But, Blacksquare, SWS, FSReborn, FlightFX, JustFlight, NextGen, and others are just in a whole different league in terms of quality and service. May 7May 7 I agree. I flew both versions for some time and the 2020 version seems indeed better than the 2024 version. Unfortunately, the support is non existent, the Turbo Version and the GTN are not useable. Regards Gunter Schneider
