July 13, 2025Jul 13 Hello everyone! I wanted to ask what you think about GSX compared to the default system in MSFS. I’m currently using GSX in MSFS 2020, but I feel like it’s much more unstable and works worse than it did in P3D, where it was simpler and worked much better. Do you think it’s better to stop using GSX and just use the default system in MSFS? Thanks all!

I use the default ground services (together with the aerosoft toolbar pushback), because to me simplicity and good performance is more important than anything else, but certainly GSX is a more robust and overall better representation of the ground services at airports in real life. July 13, 2025Jul 13 If you’ve ever seen a zombie movie then you’ll recognize the gsx passenger models. I do use GSX myself but mainly for pushback. Unfortunately you need to interact with a clunky menu system rather than using comms as would be more realistic. You can have boarding passengers in MSFS 2024 without GSX, and not just in career mode. To get pax boarding, you first need to set the payload weight in the default EFB. The you power up the plane, open the ATC window, pick ground frequency and then ground services. You can request the pax to be boarding there. It works OK right now. A huge plus over GSX is that you can get pax boarding in GA airplanes as well. The lack of support for GA and turboprops is why I stopped using it in MSFS 2020. However, there are drawbacks. The process is not as sophisticated as GSX: if you ask for pax boarding, a bus will pop up next to the plane and pax will walk towards your plane. They disappear when they get close to the exit and then are seated in the plane. Another problem is that it doesn't work with all airplanes. For instance, I cannot see pax seated in the Beech Starship. They walk to the plane and then run into the external power unit and disappear. I suppose third-party developers will have to add some parameters to their models so that it works properly.
